Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

I’m not entirely sure about how good the PL-12A will be, but I’m hoping we get it before the AIM-120C-5.

I sort of doubt it though as Chinese players are better than other nation players (J-11A and Su-27SM same BR). So gaijin may be less inclined to give us more capability.

PL-12AE (export variant) was confirmed to have 120km launch range, compared to 80km in WT

There is a report stating PL-12 should be able to mount on the inner PL-8B compatible pylons and I commented showing it is missing the inner pylons someone posted earlier.

This should amend the aircraft and give it up to 10x PL-12 and 2x PL-8B loadout.

sorry I tried to make it as simple as possible to share a video with you, so I chose an upload site at random

It has just been not-a-bugged :|
Oh well, it has never been simple getting reports accepted…
What I am really disappointed is that it was closed without any explanation. (nvm they want better sources now)

In dev, WS-10A wrongly has almost the same afterburner thrust as AL-31F-M1.
It should be more powerful.

Well, they simply deleted my comment with the photo showing the loadout with missing inner pylon;

Yes, IRL both engines have practically similar thrust characteristics.

Isn’t that photo of the J-16?

Aren’t twin pylons only for Su-35, who has widened area between nacelles?

I’m not arguing for twin pylons on the Su-27SM or 30SM. You’re the one arguing for 4x pylons per wing on the J-11B, when they have only been shown on the J-16 to the best of my knowledge.

Gaijin has set precedent as to why the addition of the double pylons on the mid-wing or the additional pylon to the inner wing can be added to earlier variants of the Sino-Flankers when they added the belly twin pylons for the R-77.

I heard some sources say WS-10A has 132kN afterburner thrust.

i desire more missile snail )))

Yes, and AL-31F-M1 is rated for 132KN of thrust as well.

Ah, it seems I had some misunderstanding.
thx

and 200 kilograms heavier.

We are always talking about the engines on a particular aircraft, and even with the addition of these 2x200kg, the body of the J-11B is half a ton or even more lighter than the Su-27SK, understand?
