The PL-21 is definitely a missile of more than 200 km, a missile with a large elongation of the hull has a good ballistic coefficient. And the far border will be determined by the margin of work.
shouldn’t battery supply designed based on fuel and aerodynamics, or can say, range? battery supply should match the missile’s range, not a limit.
The missile is designed based on the range of damage. The battery also has a size and weight. Internal volumes are limited. Either you add a battery, but at the same time you remove either the warhead or the engine. You’ll have to sacrifice something anyway
yes, but I mean it should match
Any specific tactics or strategies I should use when stock grinding the J-11?
J11 wise, try to head on people before u get all your missiles loaded cause R27Rs are not great kinetically, try to do this within a good 6-8km so that u can comfortably hit and even if u miss u could always use a R73 next. When u get ur R27Ts and more R27Rs u could try to sneak behind enemy lines and shoot them from the side.

J-15D composites
Definitely looks like there is more compared to the original J-15, I’d expect J-15T to have a similar arrangement.
Of course, no indication whether this actually saves weight compared to the original J-15 or just mitigates weight gain, after all they added a ton of new systems to the newest J-15s and this is a two-seater as well.
Anyone know how many more countermeasures the j15 t gets?
based on this image it looks like it has more counter measures on its tail boom, just cannot tell how many
that’s the same image as i have sent, look at the shark decal on the tail…

what are the things down here then?
arrestor hook???
Looks like 48. 2x 3x3 pods (18) and 5x 2x3 pods (30).
These modern things are ECM centric anyways.
do any j11 j15 and j16 have thrust vectoring ?
Pretty sure the only Flanker with TVC that china has is the Su-35S
i see this leaves me filled with disappointment
TVC has been evaluated by the PLAAF when Su-35 was participating in DACT with other domestic Chinese fighters, the conclusion was that a good IR missile + HMD combination was more useful than TVC in WVR dogfights. PL-10 is a better IR missile than R-73 and the J-10C was able to achieve a positive K/D ratio versus the Su-35 with it.
Also, TVC engines was also found to be costly to maintain and also reduces the absolute amount of thrust of an engine. PLAAF and PLANAF now want engines that provide more absolute thrust so that their fighters have a higher thrust-to-weight ratio rather than supermaneuverability.
yes, J11D, J16D, J10C, J20, etc…, all Chinese planes can carry the WS-10B
