Why was this post removed? It is relevant to the discussion at the time and many of the same technologies were transferred to the WS-10 as stated they subsequently equipped the J-11/15/16 with those engines.

Seems odd to just remove a singular post then and I feel that one in particular because it was referencing the WS-10 again anyhow.
Flying the Su-33 in dev server makes me want the J-15 now, ngl.
I love the grey naval paint scheme, and the shark decal on the vertical stabilizers.

J-15 will be far lighter, have better avionics, better radar, better engines, better everything pretty much, can’t wait for it :)
The engine, not really. The old J-15 will still use AL-31F.
But J-15T is now an option that can be added when 4++ generation jets are in the game, and that has domestic WS-10 engine.
J-15 will have domestic radar and RWR comparable to that on J-11B, which will give it ability to fire PL-12 and PL-8Bs.
It is lighter than Su-33 though, but not by incredible amount.
I’ve always wanted the J-15 over the J-11B as I consider it more unique and realistically more potent in dogfights as well although the PL-8 restricts this capability significantly compared to something like the J-11A.
The J-15 should’ve been added this update alongside the SU-33 but worse case scenario we get it alongside the F/A-18C next update January.
I think the J-11B would be a better dogfighter still.
Despite the J-15 having the larger wing area and canards like the T-10K-7 and Su-33, the J-11B is lighter and has higher thrust.
I think J-15 will come with the F-18.

Maybe for rate fights but I do honestly believe the J-15 would be better when looking at the sheer AOA the regular SU-33 can already employ. It should be superior in the one circle and worse in the two but sustained dogfights aren’t really important in the 21st century.

Kind of the only option now unless Gaijin doesn’t plan to introduce the J-15 series of Flankers at all which is incredibly unlikely but I wouldn’t be surprised looking at Gaijins track record.

I’d hope it’s the J-11B as we’ve already gotten the J-10A not too long ago, I’m not really interested in a slight upgrade (for in-game standards for the very least) - knowing Gaijin they’ll heavily restrict what type of ordinances the J-10B can carry.
It’s not only about dogfighting though.
Superior thrust-to-weight of the J-11B would mean better climb performance and acceleration, this would be important for BVR.

This update honestly should’ve been a carrier aircraft focused update with the exception of the Eurofighter and PzH 2000/Thai Sub Tree. The F/A-18, J-15, SU-33, Rafael and obviously the Eurofighter would’ve made for an amazing update.
We also should’ve gotten the SU-30MK2 over the J-11A whenever that was added with the option to switch between the R-73E or PL-8A, it would’ve been no better than the F-15C MSIP II but a balanced rival.
Gaijin has a tendency to overestimate Chinese vehicles and place them in a significantly higher BR than they actually should be and the best example is the ZTZ99A and J-11A.

current Flanker FM is bad, better T/W won’t help, but WS-10A’s better high altitude performance will make it a great bvr plane. from the chart, 2000N more than AL-31F in 11000m and 2Ma
More thrust would always help a bit, considering the current Flanker loves to bleed speed.
And also the J-11B would be lighter, although it might not make too much difference it is still at the very least an improvement.
I’m not saying that this will make J-11B into an incredible dogfighter, but at least it would be notably better than what we currently have.

Both J10B and J11B are on the leak list, but only J10B has received an “unfinished” reply in these days, and J11B still has no news. I’m worried.

J-11B might be delayed.
Worst. Bad news after bad news, HQ-17 became a TOR-M1 replica, J-11B may be delayed, J-10B doesn’t know what’s wrong yet, and tomorrow the test server will be over. This version is not a good thing for Chinese players.
I will still wait.
But it is ridiculous that they didn’t accept the reports on HQ-17.
There was no response to HQ-17, everyone was only concerned about the sulfur of the typhoon, and HQ17 was forgotten.
