Just FYI i cant say if the image is real. I had scene it months ago in a old magazine so i have no idea where it comes from aside from that.
also that radar mfd looks so nice compared to whatever this junk is (copy paste of the radar overlays in game)
Its swedish and would only get changed if it was on another nation, the air tree is unloved what do you expect.
considering how OP the gripen was on release and even after all of its nerfs till arh missiles came saying it was unloved is crazy lol
look at that KD in the damn thing, shi was ridiculously OP and still is OP in its own bracket. I literally play gripen when I want to play something brain off and have the plane do all the work for me.

ARB fasho su-27 better. Sim though gripen is miles better (tho to be fair i only played gripen in arb to spade it/to get cms, then played sim only)

Regardless though if it was loved it would be historically accurate. Wouldn’t have been missing its MFD and ect. It was added and then gaijin focused on the Gripen C over the A. Now both rot without any foxes so yeah it kinda is unloved. Lets also not forget the incorrect spelling of swedish words in the cockpit for German lmao
Thats also not including the kilometers long list of things wrong with the swedish air tree but sure we can go with that.
Still makes me laugh how they screwed up the spelling but tbf its pretty much the standard for stuff.

i mean to be fair, they likely modeled the c mfds because multiple nations have them, while for the a, only one nation has them, so it doesn’t get priority. it makes sense imo
This is where being here when they were added would’ve helped you see this from my view.
No, the Gripen C on launch for the first week had the A’s cockpit, the Gripen C the next week got its own unique cockpit, MFD’s came a bit later but for the first 6 months all cockpit related problems were only getting changed for the Gripen C.
The MFD for the A was ignored despite only the C and A existing, again if the A was loved then it would’ve been correct. Hell even the swedish Gripen C was incorrect on launch.

yeah because multiple nations have the c and only one nation gets the a, so it kinda makes sense for them to focus on the c. as for the c having same cockpit as a as launch yeah i remember watching videos on that for sim back then, but they did eventually update them (for the c)
Multiple nations didn’t have the C for the first 3 months yet the A was ignored again. Its just a swedish thing. Hell even the F-2 has its correct MFD yet only one nation has it? Again its just your average sweden last minute slop lmao

idk about that, ive only played the c viggen, the di looks horrendous at 13.0. jas 37c is quite amazing at 11.3 though in sim or arb, and the d is pretty disgusting from what ive seen at 11.7 for sim, though mid in arb for 12.0
Idk why people are surprised when the lightweight fighter that is the Gripen purpose built for small dispersed operations with extremely low maintenance and turnaround time doesn’t compare similarly to the air superiority monsters that are the other euro-canards. In Gripens in-game early days there was the quora thread that went around for a bit but that was pretty quickly ‘debunked’.
I feel like they didn’t really pay much attention to unique cockpit MFD’s at all until a bit after the 39A was released. I remember before that update almost everything had the in-game HUD radar screen plastered on the screens
