SAAF JAS-39C Technical Data and Discussion

Well… that’s the A version with a prototype FBW with a bug in it. The 33 deg is still to little though:

Just eyeballing the image it seems to be statically unstable up to ~40-45 deg and anything more is statically stable with automatic recovery logic.

I also found this:

Sadly don’t have time to do a report nor add this as comments to any of the others. i have exams next week…

They won’t accept it. They chose to go with the inaccurate report put in a while back that I still hold grievance for. Not just that, but they chose to keep taking a hatchet to it because it was still outperforming the Americans and Russians. So it is well and truly below even the report with sources that hold less than credible provenance.

It makes me quite sad.

You may be a touch mad. Gaijin forced me to shorten “Fluffy Bucketless Pocket Dragon” because character limits when I started, so it is “Fluffy_Bucketles” from the start.

I wish I had your hope, but they really seem intent on killing the platform’s agility.

I play sweden air, mad is an understatement, mentally insane is correct though on the lighter side.

It wouldn’t be so bad if the Gripen wasn’t butchered, or if we got NG/E for fighting the newer kit, but it’s rough, so I stick to ground strike in a su 30 😿

Hey its fine, sweden is getting another 400k rp sink for 1 difference so they get a F18 thats on par with the US one and at a higher BR. (Cries in worst subtree to exist)

South african air subtree (its 1 plane):

At least that gave you something useful 😿

I’ve nothing against the Finnish tree, but they really seem inclined to give us anything but what we need at any given point.

Its the worst fox3 capable gripen (damn I hate R-Darters so much, the thing never even used the R-Darter)

I know it didn’t use them. I was very vocally against it receiving them if the British were to get a gripen. We were told it would not get them. Lo and behold, it got them.

Doesn’t really count if not a full line but given the absolutely amazing (-the safaribus/rattel) its pretty solid imo, plenty of unique vehicles that bolster lineups that needed assistance, to call SA in any regard bad is pure cope (SA should get the cheetah still imo)

See the problem is playing the Gripen, i just stopped playing it and magically i never had another problem with it.

See its honestly surprising how any US player would let me do this stuff but tbh im not bothering to play missile bus when i can do ufo gameplay unlike the B-29/Gripen gameplay lmao. Even a garbage F18 at 14m0 is more fun, though im still grinding my Su-30SM

It was merely a placeholder until the UK got the eurofighter if you ask me, the Tornado F.3 is argueably worse than the F-4F KWS

How dare you slander the glorious tornado 😿

It is only a matter of time until we get the aoa limit button and can cause such havoc.

Thanks! Off topic:

Dynamic mechanical calculations are no joke… This is a good example of the type of formulas we get as a cheat-sheet on the test: (Dynamics Formula Sheet For Classes | PDF | Equations | Mathematical Analysis)

I also have a second stage mathematical analysis test the day after… (Flavio Schneider — Analysis I Cheat Sheet)
