3 months ago and nothing huge rip, guess it must be a marketing lie lol
i sure wish my jet that was developed in the 2010’s and entering service in the 2020’s would have sensor fusion like its peers
Hmm diff play styles.
At least for me I let the SM2s and Eurofighters duke it out with BVR in air RB as they’ll have much more energy.
I still climb but I get a little closer to get the people that are already defending and put pressure on them.
Then again I don’t play top tier often with how the gameplay loop is, aside from grinding mods.
accepted but still did not fixed yet lol
I often spawn st the airfield to be quite far back when climbing to 9km. Staying 20-30 or so km behind the ones at the front and then come in and mop up basically
Slight off topic from the 39E variant itself but just bug reported the JAS-39D’s incorrect canard function: Community Bug Reporting System
I asked Smin 3 times within the dev report discussion about the discrepancy but it was ghosted soo, more inconsistency now yipieeeee.
Does anyone know if the current JAS39E’s time to climb and high altitude acceleration values are correct?
I gotta feeling both 39C/E underperforming in those regards.
Is this just visual? or did they actually model the physics to it as well? with more realistic dynamics so it’ll handle similar to irl?
Just visual but it’s proper like the other canard aircraft in game now (excluding J-10s and JAS-39D)
Still missing the leading edge slats deploying aggressively though, along with a “landing flap” configuration
asked about the gripen multiple time and got ghosted too, everything but gripen fixes ig
This is honestly so frustrating.
there is also no image of the swiss hornets with A2G weapons or the Aim-7P
and yet this is in game

gaijin has said multiple times that it only needs technical compatibility for a plane to get a weapon or systmem
thats why the F-5C has flares for example
Or Swedish lowtier having APDS, BMP-2M having APFSDS, T-34-100 having BR-471D, etc
Hi Guys,
Honestly: flying the Gripen - E at 14.3br now is somewhat frustrating and getting boring. The aircraft itself is decent, but with the surprisingly large drag and terrible Aim120s against enemies spamming MICA and R77-1, the aircraft is completely uncompetitive in the current BR. And we all know that Meteor and IRIS-T are not coming anytime soon.
A while ago, I submitted a report based purely on Technical Feasibility, the exact same excuse Gaijin sued to give the Kh-38 to the Malaysian Su-30MKM.
The link is here: Issue
I gathered primary sources from Saab, Dassault, and L3Harris that prove:
-
Gripen E’s DIMA and MIL-STD-1760 natively supports MICA
-
Gripen E’s L3Harris PMEL ejectors built to the STANAG 3842 (AMRAAM-style button hangers). This is the exact same standard MICA uses to mount on Rafale.
-
If Gripen can fire Meteor and Rafale can fire Meteor without any additional modification, Gripen must have the ability to fire MICA. They use the same pylons and standards.
Bug Manager shut my issue with “Not enough info” and claims “Packing Iron brochure also shows future plans that they cannot actually use. Unless there is an actual photo of the weapon being equipped, it is not a bug.”
However, same logic applies to Malaysian Su30MKM.
Malaysian Su30MKM never had Kh38, and no photo would prove its existence. If Malaysian Su30MKM gets Kh38, it is perfectly fair for Gripen to get Mica or Derby.
I need your help. Feel free to copy the sources and arguments from my report and use them in your own forum posts and discussions. Let’s hold Gaijin accountable to their own “Technical Feasibility” rules and get Sweden a competitive top-tier fighter.
Yeah we don’t have the numbers for that. Gaijin will respond as usual with either deleting of our posts or temp bans. Despite being a fairly popular subtree we make up the smallest amount of bug reporting players and general discussion on the forums
so should the Mig-29SMT get the amraam and aim-9 then?

If the EF can fire the ASRAAM and the Su-30MKI can fire the ASRAAM then the Su-30MKI must be able to fire the meteor
the Su-30MKM still uses the russian fire control system the same as the Su-30SM
just like the swiss hornet uses the same fire controll system as the US one that why it has the aim-7p which it never had IRL
the Su-30MKM and swiss F-18 are part of the same famiily of planes, from which they got weapons from
The Gripen would easily be my favourite Top Jet if it would accelerate just a little bit quicker at altitude
To be fair there’s only so much you can do with a singular F414 engine.
Thats why im asking because current JAS39C’s acceleration at high altitude and time to climb values are underperforming iirc so naturally JAS39E might also suffer from same issue.
