The canards seem WIP as they don’t move when you pull up with AOA limiter turn off
Well the canards are there for balancing purpose to put it loosely. Also if it did move up and not stay relative with the AoA airflow that’s going to create a massive amount of drag. FCS just allows you to pull more.
Rafale, Eurofighter and Su-33/Su-30SMs canards don’t fully deflect even if you turn off AoA and pull up hard.
Here’s this first image of me pulling hard with the limiter on. Canard is pointed down slightly, similar to how leading edge slats/flaps work
AoA Limiter off and the canard stays horizontal for the most part, with the rear control surfaces on the main wing doing all the work.
well they don’t move at all when you pull up with AOA limiter turn off they should still be moving a bit especially at lower speeds.
The canards behaviours also change depending on speed and AoA due to the aircraft becoming statically stable past a certain AoA.

(I have this document as a pdf, can’t find the original source at the moment, will edit and add if i find it again :) )
Is it more bright? I don’t remember lmao
It doesn’t really need to move much if it’s pitching up heavily. The canard stays horizontal or just inducing a very slight angle.
If the canards deflected fully up (how it is in live right now), there would be a loads of drag produced on the canards/airframe
Updated looks like. I see more smaller details like the APU door/exhaust and the refueling probe door.
Looks way nicer!
The top one is LIVE and bottom is DEV so its now darker and the panels/screws seem more defined
Lot more details on panels and whatnot. I guess they were speed running that model when the JAS-39E came out.
Also any word on the leading edge flap report you submitted and maybe something on landing configuration? The change in canard modeling gives me some hope.
still no markings for the fuel probe door eh, but nice to see the door actually be there.

nevermind, it is there, just couldn’t see it in the pictures you guys posted before.

It is however missing the little break line in that panel. not as easy to see with this dark spot on this camo but easy to see on the 39D model.

also just noticed that the 39C is also missing it…

this is a 39C in real life for reference.

That’s so appalling… Can someone report this?
Shouldn’t the green hud also be present on the other gripens? (though i hope they tone down the green-ness)
Really wish they’d stop touching liveries if their only plan is to turn them to mud. A half respectable texture they had with the prior one, and now it’s incredibly poor resolution. Somehow worse than platforms that haven’t been updated for nigh a decade.
That frustration aside, put this in the dev server section in the hope they fix the faults. Feel free to add to it, I am to rest now.
