Should just give the D MICA so it has value, we know the rails are compatible and SAAB did testing so perhaps a new bug report could be suggested for the D

Of course, why add something unique and interesting when you can add it as a 5 month grind to get a worse vehicle at the same BR. Reminds me of the BMP-2MD

I mean we have both the image of the Gripen C being displayed with it and we have Matra claiming the Mils used by the Gripen and Mig 29 technically can also use and mount the MICA.
We also know this PDF only goes up to 1993 which places the integration of Mica with the Gripen sometime later in the 90’s

MICA was removed during the final phases of testing what would become the missiles for the Flygvapnet which is why the AMRAAM isn’t crossed out. The swedes simply chose the AMRAAM over MICA for their new missile.

No idea unfortunately, I don’t live and breath Gripens unfortunately, I just happen to have random documents saved and bother to look through them from time to time
to my understanding it was only ever evaluated, conclusion was reached here in 1994 (two years before 39A entered service) that AMRAAM was to be bought and to not get the MICA.
no MICA there though so what does it matter?
gonna have a hard time to justify to the devs to add the missile if it was 1st, not used in service, 2nd, no official integration being done on the missile and plane, and 3rd, if there isn’t any pictures of the plane flying with the missile.
