I honestly don’t know how much it would change in the game, i just personally like when the vehicles are as close to the in service versions as possible, if they change the name to JAS39E (production prototype) and add the in service version later i wouldn’t mind that.
I figure the Gripen E in game will stay as is and wehn we see new missiles we will get the same aircraft again to grind since they shouldve called this one the prototype.
Also side note has anyone tried doing the modification test for Penguins lmao
what modification test?
When you get a Munition theres am option to test the weapon. Penguins dont work lmao
Is it possible to have the MAA-1 Piranha (AAM-3) on the JAS-39E?, since it is a Brazilian fighter and they have it.
Do the Brazilian Gripen-Es use it? If you can proof that you can try to report it
As long as Brazils Gripen E has proof using it yes but i dont believe they do, im pretty sure they also use IRIS-T

Yeah but its not about being useful it would be nice to allow people to have it to try and recreate the F-39 some of the people grinding the Gripen E are fans of the Brazilian service version.
Its like me using penguins in ground RB, are they good? No, are they useful? no, do they work? Eh only if the target is a lobotomite

I have no proof that they use them, but they would be good for balancing the game, since the AIM-9M is bad and you’re limited to them as your only defense, or you lose air-to-ground capability by using the AIM-120; what I did was more of a question than a statement, I hoped you knew something
But of course iris-t is a much better option, but since it’s not currently in the game, what else can be done?
Im unfortunately not familiar wnough with the F-39’s arms for air to air to give you an answer unfortunately, someone else might though
Nothing really, just give it some time and we will likely see IRIS-T eventually next year
Seeing as we’ve long since moved beyond the argument of just historical equipment in the game, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give it some AAM-3s to strengthen it a bit.
As long as you can prove that the E can carry the ordinance then the DEV’s can consider it.

The in service version uses the new wing.

This is really going to happen. Frustrating. Prototype or not, at least they could have done a better job modeling this one tho. I have been flying it in simulators and the cockpit is almost completely useless. It is not readable plus the targets on its map are in wrong places etc.
Just came to exercise my right to complain that having to use the AIM-120B/C & and AIM-9M makes me a sad clown. It’s like a well-prepared meal but they forgot to add seasoning.
