Twice in a match I’ve had AIM-120Ds specifically not trigger my MAWS. Is it just me or has anyone else experienced this?
because the gripen has an optical MAWs
it dosent trigger if the missile isnt burning anymore or if it is too slow for sufficent atmospheric heating

on the note of Optical (ir, uv, etc.) MAWS, how much does weather (e.g.: flying into clouds, fog, or more dusty/sandy environments) hinder the more modern members of that sensor category?
found a broader bug report specific to RWR: [DEV] Missing ESM Capability on BOW-21
plus one relating to how PAWS-2 currently behaves (incorrect countermeasure programs aside): paws 2 maws underperforming (false alerts)
It’s a very specific issue but I been having something similar, my RWR hasn’t been warning me of a ARH missile approaching if there’s a SARH missile approaching from the same direction, had my eyes on the RWR the entire time and not a single flash of MSL
as far as i know clouds do affect it in WT
yup, ig, i’m questioning whether it should irl and how it should be represented in-game
from trying, a typical Aircraft maws can’t detect a burning motor until it is way too late
well clouds would also block a MAW irl because the water particles in a cloud are pretty good at masking IR signitures
