i might use a/b when playing air rb but for sim its always 120c, close range turning hasnt been really an issue imo because its already so close aim9m can get them/its time to set up for a dogfight. when i want to do knife fighting with missiles im just going to play flankers.

Well, underbelly pylons are a thing since gripen C/D models, but apparently for gaijin some cases are reliable and some are not. But whatever, all gripens are half backed

These images are the Gripen NG demonstrator based off the JAS-39D airframe.
The fuselage pylons that’s configured in the image wouldn’t work with the current gear layout of the earlier Gripen series. These are for the 39E/Fs as the gear structure was changed to store within the wings.
I don’t remember if these are in live or not but possibly new loadouts for Gripen E’s belly pylons are coming soon?

Sure, but I didn’t state that those are C/D models—they are indeed NG models. I was simply pointing out that, according to the brochure, the center pylon has been usable since the C/D models, and the Gripen NG/E/F just expanded on these capabilities
have been there since dev first opened, it sucks that they seem to be setting a precedent for no real full customisation of the belly pylons being planned coming soon… but i’ll still hope and hope

I checked live they don’t have the 2 missile only loadout its three with the icon of 2 so yeah they seem to be messing with it.

I suggest using this video and images of the cockpit over renders. This is also the 6002 which will work better for the report anyways, just screen shot the purple tint from the video and write sources in the report and link this.

Well, got a little confused with seeing the NG Gripen demonstrator being shown and then reading JAS-39C/D. Apparently the report for it was forwarded as a suggestion 2 years ago (where’s that gif of the paper printing itself into a shredder). I just see most images with the JAS-39C/D with a centerline fuel tank often, or the centerline pylon is empty.
I am interested on this twin AMRAAM centerline rack though and wonder if there are any models of it. Would make the Swedish Gripen C little bit more unique with two extra AMRAAMs
True, but that’s likely specified in the flight manual—since the Gripen has short range, the center pylon is often used for fuel tanks rather than ordnance.
I think it goes for most cases with aircraft running ordinance (F-16C, F/A-18s, Rafales, etc) and equipping external tanks.
Probably worst case (in sweden’s eyes) having all pylons except the wingtip with bombs would be dire situation but you’d probably have worst things happening too at that point.
If only dual racks were made for other munitions.
