RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 TI for warthunder ? Wich

Thank you very much!

I switched from gtx 1080 to Sapphire rx9070xt nitro+. I get 300+ fps on 1440 x 3440 ultrawide QD-OLED in HDR without Ray Tracing and all other settings in the highest level. The only reason to spend extra money on rtx5070ti is ray tracing. BUT to activate it you have to choose Dirext12 (beta) in the options menu or Vulcan which is in beta as well if you edit the config file. Both are a nightmare and Gaijin doesn’t even accept crash reports for Vulcan. So if you are interested mainly in War Thunder there is no real world difference. The Adrenaline software is great with a way friendlier menu and the drivers are perfect.

AMD architectures have weird issues in war thunder

9070 XT. Cheaper, same performance. DirectX12 isn’t as stable though so you’ll have to wait a bit before you can run crash-less ray tracing

I run the game at 1440p and have it locked to 180 fps

And which issues are these? Because I use AMD and have nothing to complain.

excessive driver ovehead, mostly

Lol, you made my day.
Never had this kind of problems, maybe there is a other reason for this kind of fail

All the testing I’ve seen shows AMD driver overhead issues in war thunder

Oh boy, there is no overhead, the game is only optimized for Nvidia because it’s a sponsored title, clear see with the Nvidia intro in WT. So stop posting nonsense.
Also this benchmark is now how old, 2 years nearly?

lol

All AMD problems that are mentioned in the thread are legacy problems. There are no issues with overhead, drivers, software etc. DirectX12 and Vulcan instability exists across the board regardless of the GPU vendor. If you want to use Ray Tracing then you have to live with DirectX12 or Vulcan and their problems. If you choose so then yes rtx 5070ti makes sense as it outscores rx 9070xt by a narrow margin.

That’s all you can say, running out of arguments?

1060 6gb is all you need for high settings, if you want ultra in 1440 all you really need is 2060 maybe 3060.

This game can run on anything, if you gonna get an expensive card be sure to use it for games that actually need it

if you don’t understand what you’re talking about sometimes it’s better to keep your mouth shut buddy

Both are overkill. I get hundreds more FPS than I need with 9070XT (Red Devil LE) @ 1440p (paired with 5800X3D). I was always opting for 9070XT over 5070ti, either way. Sick of Nvidia’s business practices (I know AMD are not much better, but still).

You talked about overhead, when there is nothing like this on AMD GPUs, but Nvidia on the other side have driver overhead, that’s also known and tested on different hardware sites. So with a weaker CPU it’s better to use AMD instead of Nvidia.

So the one who doesn’t know what he’s talking about are you…

AMD has more driver overhead in DX11 and some particular DX12 titles, war thunder being one of those titles, stop being a triggered fanboy, real world testing proves you wrong, grow up

triggered fanboy doesn’t realise all drivers have overhead, triggered fanboy should get his facts straight before fanboying about companies, silly triggered fanboy

Where show your little benchmarks spams, GPU overhead??? And of course a 4090 is faster than 7900XTX, nothing new.
This here shows you, that your are wrong, because testing GPUs doesn’t show overhead, only testing with different CPUs and same GPUs show it.

5070ti, dlss 4 is a lot better than fsr4 in this game

Does WT already have FSR4, I thought it’s still FSR3
