Russian Bias in 2026?

Uhm… yes it is. The screenshot they shared of the changes shows against KE 150% being increased to 225%. A flat 75% increase of its performance against LE rounds.

It does change, still have the same cap, but this can be reached at much lower angles

…aaaaaaaaaaaaand he’s going to flag all of our posts now because he’s been shown to be quite incorrect.

Thank you for this.
So it’s the side ERA that’ll see the results of this change, but not the front ERA due to its already extreme angle…
The side ERA was under-performing when angled for years on live, so I guess they’re finally fixing it.

I’ll add a citation to your post in mine.

The armor of live from the screenshot that shows 277mm at 65 degrees is ~62 - ~90mm effective protection from Relikt.
180 - 215mm from the armor plates, and 62 - ~90mm from the ERA itself. Which is incorrectly low for Relikt.

@Crazed_Otter
Warning us that you’re going to flag all of us is hilarious.

Edit added in armor information.

I think so, even on lower angles both values match.

The sides era are after all thinner than the front panels, so you probably need a higher angle to archive the cap

That would explain why they’re still less effective than front mounted ERA post “buff” [fix].
Either way, glad T-series enjoyers will see a fix to their side ERA protection; didn’t think Gaijin would get around to it seeing how long they take to deal with armor bugs/inaccuracies in general.

man so u opinion this hangar penetration is correct? for example bmpt have 75 mm protection is side but in mach eat the challanger 2 apfsds “penetration possible” this what mean penetrate the nera?:D in this test shot simulation way diferent than in maches… same in replay penetration shots in reaplay completly diferent but ok

yeah side ERA really underperform ap in every mach have these shots when shot bmpt is side … completly eated the projectile only spalling from nera remain… but this not enought to penetrate side armor…

I have not seen that exact shot in practice result in a bounce.
& as @Nowel 's post shows, the “buff” [a fix to errors] is improved angling for what seems to be the side mounted armor to fix erroneously underperforming angles of Relikt.

That bounced from hitting overlapping plates behind the ERA, as the protection analysis shows it easily penetrating the ERA & even some armor, disproving your post’s claim it was the ERA when it was the armor behind & a different shot as well.

bounce in this angle? is a joke no?

The bouncing is maybe a joke, maybe not.
I know there’s overlapping plate hell on the upper half of BMPTs similar to Challenger 2s.

I really think it’s illuminating that only Russia and Russians consider Relikt to be a good system. Combat has shown it does not hold being defeated by threats it is designed to counter.

When it’s all you’ve got - and you REALLY REALLY need to flog it to anyone with enough currency - of course you’re going to say it’s super-duper-brilliant!

‘Introducing the new 3rd Gen ERA - RELIKT - it’s a bit pants when people actually shoot back.’ Isn’t really a good marketing tagline is it?

Do you think they will ever remove the black hole that lets shells kill the driver and the engine but ignore the carousel…

Remember when this game wasn’t pure Russian cope…I miss those days, hopefully when Vlad is done with his pointless holiday. Russian mains egos wont need to overinflate every single ability their kit has.

Oh did Gaijin ever prove why T-80s got a 5 second reload?

Well no t80 have a 5s reload…

6 seconds

they did

They buffed it because Russian tanks “needed” help nothing to with realism, or we would have differing rates depending on where the rounds are in the carousel which is why we can have videos of a T-90M shooting every 8-9 seconds. They took ideal circumstances.

I haven’t seen UFP Relikt tank wrecks.
The only one I remember is when a T-80 got penned by a round that missed the ERA.
That and Germany’s own military says DM53 cannot deal with Relikt equipped T-series tanks effectively from the front aspect.

Yeah, and who’s bringing 3BM42 or 46 into top BR?

Yep, from 2012 to today.
From 2019 to today, USA has had the best top end ground lineups.
Before 2019 I never looked at the top end, so I can’t comment.

Also documents prove that 6 seconds is the reload time for next-round loads, which is why 3BM60 is 6.5 seconds as it needs to skip over a round.

All autoloaded tanks in War Thunder are reloading from ideal conditions, with Soviets being the last to be upgraded to that standard.
You can even argue all tanks in War Thunder are.

We dont have any way to assign the order of amunition so this point is completely irrelevant, not to mention that on actual combat conditions there is more than just the pure reload rate which will increase the rate of fire. They did prove that the autoloader can reload in 6s which is what you ask, with multiple primary sources.
