Romanian-Yugoslav Ground Techtree

I would definitely not be opposed to this!
Before making the Yugoslav ground tech tree that is currently up on the forums I had also tinkered with several other comrades on a concept very similar to this one. If you’d like, I could send you the old drafts for it?

Either way, +1!
These two together would accentuate each other very well!

A Yugoslav-Bulgarian tech tree would have been a much stronger suggestion, especially considering the linguistic similarities and the historical context—Tito even had ambitions to annex Bulgaria at one point.

Although, Bulgaria did not have that many special vehicles unlike Romania.

Nevertheless. unfortunately it’ll be a -1 for me. Romania already belongs to Italy in WT. And I agree with Romania being an Italian sub-tree.

I don’t think I can agree with this suggestion

I am for a Yugo TT, yes, but I’m pretty sure Romania is already an official sub tree for Italy, so I do not see this making any sense.

Additionally, the Yugo TT suggestion has more vehicles in it, this looks more like a sub tree. If this is because of “uniqueness”, then a good amount of unique vehicles are missing. This is not meant as an insult for the suggestion

Eastern and south Europe has a lot of potential in War Thunder. Hopefully more vehicles.

No matter how i look at it, i struggle to make a theoretical lineups at most BRs.

And lineups are at the very least bare minimum for a TT.

I don’t think there is enough vehicles here to constitute a completely separate tech tree, but i do really like the romanian western-eastern frankenstein tanks (stuff like the TR-85 and TR-125, russian shells with western innards). Admittedly, my favourite tank from Romania is probably the R35 with the K20 tank gun because they basically fixed the frenchie’s main problem, the damage output.

+1 excited to see this in the game.

Sorry, but this is a -1 for me. Yugoslavia belongs on its own, and Romania should be a sub-tree for Italy. Not only that, but I seriously question the addition of a few of the vehicles here, especially the R-1. That would be genuinely useless in WT.

Would like to see jugoslav implemented, but this is not it. Love the idea but really lacks a lot of vehicles (at least in this suggestion). Not gonna vote no, but Romania is already Italian subtree (of which it already lacks plently of hungarian, romanian, and even italian vehicles). So in theory would like, but rather would have Italy first fully populated with hungarian and romanian vehicles, then move forward.

On Jugoslav tt, would love to see it ingame. It currently lacks some stuff in air and early ground, to remidy this I think that a non-aligned movement could work and bring plenty of unique vehicles. (Jugoslavia/tito founded NLE and for a long time was the chair). This could also serve as a reason to bring different African, latin, and other vehicles that currently have no place in-game).

This is a -1 from me for a few reasons.
1st, this makes Yugoslavia look like a sub tree while in reality it really brings more to the table than the filler you put into your suggested tree.
2nd, the suggestion is mega focused on Romania here, nothing against that but what about for example the history of Yugoslavia, the strongest resistance force during WW2 ( it wasn’t Sweden like the modern historians tend to feed you) and one of the strongest armies that stood in between the blocs?
I’d prefer if you reworked your idea to nake a little bit of a bigger tree, there’s plenty more that especially yuga offers.

It’s already a sub tree.

Initially Yugoslavia was meant to be a subtree but due to some conflictions with the guidelines i was not allowed to post it as a tech and subtree as they would have needed to be separated and there is one more “final version” of this techtree which was finished after the post was made . All that being said i somewhat agree with that fact that Romania should belong to Italy but seeing how Gaijin butchered Hungary ( In my opinion) i can’t let that happened to Romania.
Thank you for the feedback!

Regarding the Romanian side of the techtree: If you included the TAB-71 and 77, then why not have also the MLVM (which is a genuinely unique vehicle, not copied from a foreign design)? And why no Zimbru or SAUR (which I think had some IFV variants proposed)?

You can find only a good pic of the spg actually used by iugoslavian troops.
Btw +1.

Kinda +1 but have the Yugoslavia tree stand on its own and Romania ideally (for me at least) would reinforce a eastern/central European tree to help fill the gap left by Hungary going to Italy (although since some vehicles are already in Italy, I have my doubts).

Poland mentoned 💪💪💪💪💪

XD

There are some interesting Br placements in this tree. Why is the Ab-41 placed higher than the T-38? Anyway let’s hope we eventually get these vehichles.

It is a good base but I’d rather see both nations combined with the likes of Czecho|Slovakia, Poland, and maybe Bulgaria into a single unified Eastern European Tech Tree. Heck, maybe you can throw Ukraine in there too.

That would allow for a far more unique TT then 50-50 C&P.

(Also, if we do get a sole Yugo or YugoRomano TT, making the SO-122 a premium would be criminal. Let everyone enjoy that glorious masterpiece of Balkan engineering)
