Rockwell B-1B Lancer, America's heaviest bomber

The only value it would have is as a nuke bomber in RB or bomber for sim.

I agree with you if added it is just purely a novelty aircraft.

Is that a newer model B-1? Looks like it has a missile warning sensor between the cockpit and radar, similar to how the F-15EX has the protrusions where the sensors would be

No it’s the oldest one, 1998 IIRC

The plane would be perfectly playable in sim, just like many planes that are no longer playable in realistic or arcade but can stand out in other mods

I was debating making a suggestion for this, actually

it would be viable in all game modes also it has flares that weigh 3 pounds each

and are -just- simple up-grades done over time

Under no circumstances is a B-1 surviving in arcade mode and past the merge in rb

That’s the thing you don’t merge you just gun it, also arcades dead at top tier air, so its mostly bots (ex: I’ve survived as an f-111 in RB and was the last one left despite me not even carrying a gun)

Bomber gameplay would be running away simulator, not what would actually be fun

The way to make it fun would be to have reforms for strategic bombers

you know the b-1 is a low altitude supersonic bomber right? that means you use it more like this: (xbox app on chrombook is slow so give me a few)

ABSOLUTLEY but it should spawn from like 30km distance to the battlefield cuz pantsir can spawn kill it lol

shouldn’t we get the b52 before? pretty sure the b1 was supposed to replace the b52

no, it was built to fill a different role (but it could still perform the same role as the b-52)

but isnt the b1 a straight upgrade to b52 besides cost

no, the b-1a project was meant to replace them but it was canceled and they ended up using b-1b to supplement the bomber force.

“The B-1A was initially developed in the 1970s as a replacement for the B-52. Four prototypes of this long-range, high speed (Mach 2.2) strategic bomber were developed and tested in the mid-1970s, but the program was canceled in 1977 before going into production. Flight testing continued through 1981.” - https://www.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/104500/b-1b-lancer/

well even mach 1.2 of the b1b is faster than the b52 also pretty sure the b1 wins in low radar signature

yea it does it was meant to act in a more precision role but if they add a b-52 they should add the old dog

nope, the B1 was an hypersonic longrange bomber. the B52 is only a long range bomber
