J-7H can replace J-7D(Although replacement isn’t needed). Its a modernised J-7II. It can carry PL-8

The J-7D is definitely the worst 11.0, but changing it completely to the J-7G sounds like a bad idea. Just reduce its BR to 10.7 and keep it as is. It’s that easy guys

J-7II has even worse flight characteristics than J-7D. It is literally almost identical to an early Mig-21.

J-7H has same engine as the J-7G which is WP-13F(I might be wrong but still it has better engine than the original J-7II). It would perform same as the J-7D but it will get some better avionics and weapons. Specially a better cockpit

That thing is bad, but J7D has the worst speed preservation and no full aspect nor radar guided missiles. The F4 can bomb bases for RP, J7D can’t, you have to sort of dogfight with people much more maneuvrable.

J7D currently at 11.0 is… Not very enjoyable.

For me, J-7G would be 12.0 BR in rank 8 only. not rank 7
pretty crazy to think its still 11.0. Thats the same br as the better j8b, j7e, mig21bis, ja37 etc. It has a lower thrust to weight than the mig21smt, no radar weapons, only 4 rear aspect fox2’s. When everyone you face is carrying aim9L and above. The only reason its still 11.0 is because the skill level of j7d players is likely higher than other premiums like f4s. For more detail, j8b twr is 1.14, mig21bis is 1.07, mig21smt is 1.04, while j7d is like 0.98

Personally, I’m of the opinion that the J-7G should be in the tech tree with it’s most capable weapons, and the F-7BGII could be a premium.

To elaborate, I’d rather the 7G be a tech tree variant since it was domestically used, while the export version should be a premium.
