Well additionally I think that people try to shoot it fast because they all look alike so they think its one of AMXs (and all except Somua all have weak turret armor) and next surprise… (I did this mistake more than once)

This logic makes no sense, if you can clearly see the TKX (P) and type 90 are seeing in your own words, “comparatively very weak tanks” then they should all move away from it. This entire statement contradicts itself :(

EDIT: So we moved all the major players top cas up , EF2000’s, Su34s, Su30, Rafale etc, but left the USA with the F15E and isreal with the F15I at 12.7?

Okay, then lemme spell out all the pros of the AMX M4, so you also somehow notice them.
- Better turret traverse than most opponents
- Better HP/T than any medium tanks and barely slower than light tanks (that is if it’s slower)
- Better reverse speed than literally any vehicle that doesn’t have a reverse gearbox
- Max 259mm pen and 1030 m/s velocity with a round that has no problem one-shotting vehicles on well-placed shots or critically disabling them
- 6.7 reload with an autoloader that doesn’t require aceing your crew.
- -10 depression sufficient for any combat situations
- Sufficent armor that definitely can deflect shots sometimes (armor should never be relied on for the most part, but having enough armor to sometimes deflect shots is nice to have)
A Tiger 2 is only better in the fact that it has APHE and a nearly impenetratable front (there are still HEAT-using vehicles tho), IS-2 has nothing better aside from having a good angled pen with APHE, American 6.7 heavies are all overweight and slow that trade pen for reload and the medium vehicles at this BR fall short on some points aswell. The AMX M4 literally doesn’t have any significant weakness aside from not having smoke and has no problem at excelling in many situations. If you genuinely use armor as the only main point of why it shouldn’t be uptiered, sorry to say, but that’s some genuine skill issue.

Its really a shadow of its former self at 8.7 because of many afterburning planes in its bracket.
