Remove KH38

Thread summed up:

I don’t want to play Jets (CAP), so please remove content from the game that periodically annoys me.

You are right those two are in game, but the KH29D is not. The two in game are TV guided where as the “D” variant had a IR seeker on it.

Simple, Gajin nerfed the missiles to the ground. I dodged a Spike-Missile while being stationary.

Actually I not understand what the problems here, IDK am I too suck or what but I really doesn’t got killed but those missile, and as a Japan main those missile can’t even lock Ka-50 that within 3km so I also don’t understand what problems with the 15km firing range 😅😅

The issue is that 1-2 Pantsirs can provide fairly decent protection against any A2G weapon that the other 9/10 nation possess. A Pantsir only costs 70? SP.

The Soviets rarely have to worry about fighting a Pantsir and there is no hope for any other SPAA in-game to put up much more than a fleeting defence against a Su-25SM3 let alone Su-34 firing KH-38s. (Granted, those same SPAA struggle to put up much of a defence against any other AGM slinger in game as well)

The fact that the Soviets have one of the only usable SPAA in game and have the best AGM in game is deeply frustrating. Especially given the circumstances in which the Su-34 with 6x KH-38s were added (looking at the Brimstone nerf justifications)

CAP is an ideal counter, but effective CAP for that BR requires something with ARH, like the F-16, F-15, Typhoon, Rafale, etc and that puts the cost up to more like 700 SP. Which quite often puts CAP out of reach of most players purely down to the SP cost (Really shouldnt be much more than 300-400 SP at top tier to spawn in a CAP aircraft)

Also, CAP is often reactive due to the cost. Usually a Su-34 or similar can do at least 1 sortie (which could be 6+ kills) before any CAP is spawned to deal with it. Just circling the battlefield in a CAP aircraft waiting for something to maybe spawn is totally unrewarded)

Finally, you do have the issue of people who havent grinded the Air tree and so dont have access to any top tier fighters, except maybe a Premium or SQV, but those are rarely able to go toe to toe with something like a Su-34 slinging R-77s

well our doctrines split we have spaa they can add its just the russian planes cant cope hard enough to deal with it cough cough patriot system cough cough

I believe the best course of action would be to raise spawn points for air vehicles tremendously. SP are already too low for lower tier planes. While they are slightly higher in top tier, modern cas planes are outright obnoxious and should require more ground effort to be spawned.

Once again, there is no Kh-29D. There is only a Kh-29TD, which is already in-game…

And again, it doesn’t feature IR in-game.

Patriot would be hilariously easy to kill

No, Gaijin should not remove KH-38, AGM-65D/G, PGM-500-2000/3, and HAMMER rocket-propelled ordnance options.

Just wait for new SPAA.

AGDS pleaseeeeee gimme gimme gimme gimme

Depends on the aircraft, some yes, others are perhaps too high already

I have no idea why people are comparing the KH38 to the Mavericks when it out performs it in almost every aspect and by a great margin. The only thing the KH38s and the Mavericks have in common is the point lock and target lock range.

If the KH38 gets removed, russia will need an AGM with a IR seeker. A KH29 with a IR seeker would be a good replacement. Still really good but not busted like the KH38.

In my opinion even with the newly added agms (including rocket assisted bombs) like the AGM-130, PGMs, and the Hammer, it still doesn’t compare to the KH38. There are just too slow if used outside of SPAA range.

For aircraft spawn cost to be increased, SPAA spawn cost would also have to be increased.

I think a good nerf could be to limit the tracking range to 3 or 4 km for the ir variant

I stopped reading right about here

I still believe KH-38MT needs to be removed entirely and keep the laser guided variant to maintain parity with Brimstone, and even then, KH-38ML still outperforms the Brimstone in almost every possible way, it’s just on a worse airframe.

Or at the very least, remove the IOG so that they instantly explode when someone smokes like AGM-65s do.

If so should be replaced with the Kh-38MK which is has satellite guidance.

Would still be fairer that it is at the moment. That IOG is just too good and guarantees a kill 9/10s even if the target defends correctly.

Its annoying they nerf a missile like Brimstone through the floor for “balancing reaosns” and then leave KH-38 at full strength
