If they move Taiwan on its own or part of USA which I doubt, I’d be happy with that too

They could perhaps each choose their own flag. Given that the South Korean market is much larger than the North Korean market, and considering that at least one side insists on recognizing only one Korea and hopes to unify the other side.
This seems similar to the issue between ROC (Taiwan) and PRC.

This isn’t politically or ethnically motivated and the Koreans use mostly domestic tech for modern ground equipment, it’s just ppl upset the M1 isn’t going to be unique to US and sophists trying to score likes over the VT-4 farce (most don’t even play Japan).

When we let a part of the player base determine that a certain nation shouldn’t get a vehicle due to ‘timing’ and nationalism pride then its a problem. Why should they in return receive export vehicles when they cried about their own tanks being exported to another nation under a subtree? Why should we let them dictate what happens?
Remember the big issue was the ‘timing’, we have now passed victory day and now the timing is appropriate to introduce the Thailand VT4.
Because China has a fully integrated Taiwanese tree (you can grind to top tier with ONLY roc vehicles if so chosen, meaning the only thing tying you to mainland china is matchmaker and flag

What’s stopping that same player base that was opposing the VT4 from stopping other vehicles from their nation being added to other subtrees? Nothing. Gaijin bowed down to them, now any and all future PRC vehicles being exported will be under scrutiny of that player base. Gaijin lost millions of dollars cause of the VT4 controversy.

Perhaps some people are upset that the M1 is not exclusive to the United States, but others are dissatisfied because ROC (Taiwan) is being marginalized in War Thunder, while at the same time the game is releasing ROC (Taiwan) vehicles dated for 2025. Meanwhile, PRC players are allowed to freely make political statements in-game, and during the two months after the issue escalated there was no official response. The developers kept pretending nothing happened and continued hiding comments. And in this update, they added the M1A2T as if the players’ protests never existed.

Players from Taiwan may be fewer in number compared to those from China, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. If the developers had made an official announcement when adding the M1A2T stating that they were following the One-China principle, I wouldn’t have any objections. The problem is, they didn’t. Meanwhile, Chinese players are using the One-China principle as a reason to demand the removal of the Republic of China (Army) flag from the list of selectable options.

I don’t care that other nations are getting access to the Abrams. My problem is that the Chinese player base cried about the VT4 being added to Japan under the Thailand subtree claiming it was bad timing due to bad history between Japan and China. Meanwhile the developers have kept quiet about it the whole time. Also at the time suggesting that Singapore will become a subtree under China while ignoring the terrible history between those two countries. Also removing the ROC Flag and letting the player base argue with each other when its been months now without any official response.
Its not simply about the M1 going to China, there’s multiple reasons why people are opposed to it. Simply trying to say that your opinion is irrelevant because you don’t play Japan or China is extremely dumb.
