Rearrangements to the British Ground Forces Tree

Don’t want the hind either so not sure your point

That its generally a popular addition, those against it seem to be a minority when it comes up.

None of the Brit mains I know. I have Soviet trees so if I want Soviet based vehicles I play that. I play western trees to play western vehicles. India would have been better not as a set sub tree imo but shared in the trees of the tanks origins.

Tbh I’d prefer Israel get India, they already operate a mix of east and west stuff (so that will save others complaining) and actually need a subtree

I suspect they will get Jordan maybe

Yep, agreed. If I had wanted an Su-30. I’d have grinded the soviet TT.

I’m still waiting for additions like the Hawk, Gnat, Vulcan, Jag Gr3A, Harrier Gr9A, etc etc. heck we still don’t even have a proper bomber mosquito yet

And the list of options is massive:

And that’s not including the aircraft we’ve already got to get buffed up to a really healthy state. Many of the aircraft we’ve got are underperforming significantly. What id give for the FRS1 or Gr4 to be at IRL performance.

The only reason why I think people want C&Ps so much is because it means they can get the best of multiple trees by grinding just one.

I have seen people coping about The Olifants, which is to put it bluntly, buck wild.

As someone said, “western nation wants western vehicles”
Meaning it’s based in racial prejudice

So if you wanted an Abrams or Leopard or F-18 you’d grind the US or Germany and not ask for them in the British tree, right?

Abrams and F-18 I dont really care about. Sure, A Canadian F-18 would be nice and help patch a bit of a hole we have at 12.7 and it would add nothing to the US tree, but I also woudlnt care if we never got it. (though the CF-18 skins are pretty cool)

The canadian leopard 2 would have been nice for allowing for a decent Canadian line-up with the ADATS and a future LAVIII (100% Canadian vehicle). Canadians being spread across 3? 4? different TTs at the moment is really stupid (same can be said for the Australians) in any case, it would have been a far far better addition than the T-90 as a SQV, but even then I would have prefered the Challenger 1 Falcon from Jordan or better yet, literally any decent light tank/IFV given we still dont even really have a decent one for that BR range and back then we didnt even have the DW.

No not racial. Sociopolitical. Nothing to do with race at all. Even your own attempt at an example isn’t racial but national. Britain, America, Germany are part of a wester nations and technological development. Again nothing to do with race.

No one mentioned race at all, western equipment tended to be developed by western nations.

Yet the russian players or eatern Europeans have to play britain to use the best equivelant of some of their tech?

Thats a catch 22 and works both way.

So TLDR no and it’s only copy-paste when it’s icky Russian vehicles
It’s a problem when Canada isn’t fully represented in one tree but you’re totally fine with India not being so
And there’s definitely no prejudice involved, for sure…

India should simply have never been added. We already have south africa and India doesnt add a single thing to our tree. It just allows for easy Soviet C&Ps to bodge our tree so they can get out of doing bug fixes.

Mig-21 BISON is only stronger than the Tornado F3 because they refuse to fix the F3.

Strela and OSA are onyl stronger than the Stormer HVM because they refuse to fix the HVM

T-90 is weaker than the CR1s, but the CR1s could still be stronger.

Marut is apparently weaker than the Hunter F1

Jaguar IS I dont really care about and we still dont have the Jaguar GR3A yet

India should have gone to the soviet TT. Simple.

Why people want Gripen C, Rafale, Typhoon and Su-30 all in the same tree is beyond me, unelss they are too lazy to grind multiple TTs. Might as well throw a Signapore F-15, Canadian F-18 in there as well. Im sure we can find an F-16 somewhere too.

As I’ve stated a thousands time before. We have so many native British stuff never added because we got a SA or Indian equivalent instead is just frustrating. I didnt grind the British TT because I wanted an Su30. I grinded it because I wanted things like the Hawk, Vulcan, etc etc. Vehicles we dont even have yet.

Unless they are uniquely modified, I ain’t interested. Mostly Candair and Atlas products would be nice.

has it been changed?

Same should be said for the Abrams, Leopard 2, F-18, Boxer, etc. yet you conveniently don’t seem to be opposed to those

And the exact same will happen with “Commonwealth” vehicles. But it seems many Britain players only care about getting the best of specifically the US and Germany based on the arbitrary distinction of these being “western” nations (but I guess France and Sweden aren’t? And the idea that there is a distinct clade of “western” nations that shouldn’t mix with “others” is inherently racist)

Again. I dont really care, it beats out a soviet thing, but Would still much prefer native options. Though Boxer is being used by Britain and has been extensively trialed. So?

The point is a T-90 in a lineup with Challenger 1s is wierd. Strela and OSA alongside Stormers is wierd. Let alone the Sim arguments in here as well. The amount of people I see abusing the T-90 to flank in GSB. There is a reason why those arguments exist. If Britain isnt allowed to stand by its own native additions. Then the bare minimum is adding vehicles of extremely close allies like Canada, which already has a major placement within our tree with a dozen existing vehicles. instead of adding, so far, mostly soviet C&P.

Out of the 7 indian vehicles. 5 have been soviet C&P and none have done what they claim Sub-TTs are about which is patching holes in the tree that cant be filled by native options.

Heck they just added the Badger from South Africa which most consider weaker than the 8.0 options Britain already had and does absolutely nothing to support our 10.0+ line-up where we still have no IFVs at all.

And a Leopard or Abrams in the same lineup as a CR2 is equally “weird”.

Then let Britain stand in its own. You and so many others are so quick to cave in on domestic vehicles if it means you get American and German export vehicles. All “oh well, if I have to, I’ll take it :c” while vehemently opposing Indian and South African vehicles, even fully unique domestic ones, because “copy paste”.

And nearly 100% of the Australian and Canadian vehicles will be the exact same: copy-paste when there’s domestic options. But that doesn’t matter, I guess.

And i’ve been fighting for Challenger 2 buffs for years. Gaijin seems to have decided that the Challenger 2 must be a weak vehicle. At this point, most of us have just given up on it ever being fixed.

Such as?

LAVIII which would be an ideal IFV for our tree is 100% Canadian. I would also quite like the RAAF F-86. Now Britain did actually operate the F-86, but for the sake of a bit of diversity, the RAAF F-86 could be added instead which replaced the engine with a Rolls Royce Engine and the 50 cals for 30mm ADENs.

Everything else I want is from Britain:

Air:

  • Hawk
  • Jag
  • Vulcan
  • Mosqutio
    etc etc

Or Briitsh export like a heavily upgraded Hunter from somewhere like Oman, Chille or Singapore and the Buc S50 would be fun because of the RATOs

Ground:

  • Ajax
  • Sky Sabre
  • Later Chieftain variants
  • Ferret Mk5
  • Scorpion
  • Saladin
  • Abbot
  • AS-90
