I wanted to show the abysmal performance first, but then the hornet sting update happen and i tested a second time.
To say it short, the previous Ray Tracing performance was utter shit, but now they made fucking good improvements.
In worst case scenarious i jump from average 30 to average 70 fps.
Also the effects, especially the windows look much MUCH better.
For comparisen:
Pre-Hornet Sting: https://youtu.be/1-YPRXGs36c
Hornet Sting Update: https://youtu.be/Ve6xgcPHS8w
Thats with a RTX 4090.

Wow, that is a huge improvement, and still very obvious when watching a youtube video (my monitor is 2k, and I made sure to change the youtube quality to 2k/1440p) versus seeing it in person on your computer. I really like that you showed your settings before you entered the map too, great work, thanks for sharing!
Yes, its randomly crashing when with RT on.
Already opened a bug report, but no response until this time.

Gaigin are clearly early in the optimization regarding DLSS.
While we know they are using “DLSS 4” there’s a lot of detail missing.
DLSS4 includes:
Super Resolution
Ray Reconstruction
Frame Generation
Multi Frame Generation
So far all we know for sure is Super Resolution is supported. Frame/Multi Frame Generation is not, and Ray Reconstruction is unknown.
Some other DLSS4 games have checkboxes for each of these options.
The good news is that framerates should only go up in the future as both NVIDIA, and Warthunder optimize with better drivers, and more DLSS features enabled.

I do have your cpu and a 7900xt nitro+ i testet RT, it works fine with about 70fps on 4k.
But i prefer to disable RT, cause i dont see any differents. Just in Windows. How many maps with windows we do have?

Also reflexion on water is better with RT, but yes during a match often there is not much time to enjoy the beauty graphics now 😁

Which grafic card do you actually use?

Maybe u should try a AMD card next time. We dont have any problems in 4k i do have about 70 fps with everything maxed out. Incl RT Ultra. Just tree and grass distance rendering is at 50%.
its not an nvidea issue. I only use nvidea and the game looks and runs amazingly
Yeah, so far DLSS 4 works great with DLAA and Ultra Quality Preset Enabled however Warthunder Raytracing definitely needs Ray Reconstruction as an option. The Artifacts from Raytracing is very noticeable and feels just as bad as Old DLSS before the update even on high presets

why after a while with RT on ultra or high fps from 100 115 drops to 60 - 20 until restart the game? i have a 4080super i think it should be keep RT ultra on stable fps
@Stona_WT @Smin1080p_WT We need either FSR4 support or allow us to enable SSAA X4 with RT. Currently it is unable to run RT with any decent quality because there is no FSR4 or even the option to enable SSAA x4 with RT. Please help us AMD users :)
I can use RT with my 7900XTX and it works well in UHD. So why need FSR4?
FSR4 (for the 9000 series GPUs from AMD) is actually pretty decent in terms of graphical fidelity, roughly matching or in some cases beating NVIDIA’s DLSS 3. It would be a welcome boost for the GPUs that support it.
Unless you have an AMD Radeon RX 9070, or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, you won’t be able to use FSR4. It would still be nice to see FSR4 implemented, as the rest of the Radeon 9000 series lineup is bound to have it. To my knowledge AMD has no intentions to backport FSR4 to the Radeon 7000 or Radeon 6000 series GPUs at the present moment.
someone can respond me at my last question?
Only without dlss.
Just use dlss
Yea but I don’t want to make my game a blurry mess, I prefer my real ahh frames if you know what i mean ))))
You’re thinking of framegen, DLSS doesn’t generate more frames.
Even then though, you can still only use DLSS or FSR as anti-aliasing methods, and they look much better than any of the other available options.
