Ray Tracing in War Thunder!

Probably DX12

I was very much looking forward to the improved cockpit reflections (and reflections in general), but it seems like Ray Tracing can’t be enabled in VR (the settings don’t seem to do anything in VR).

Any info on when ray tracing will be supported in VR?

I use DX 11, i checked multiple times and mentioned it in my previous message. This update is incredibly garbage, no wonder they needed another week to work on it if even after improvements it works so bad

Happened to me twice, every time after a mayor update.

My graphics setups, even if look unchanged, got something messed up ( fps drop from 120 to 20…).

After playing a little bit with presets, i was able to restore my previous graphics setting and performance.

With last mayor update, after “resetting” things up (and having dx12 enabled), i’ve noted a better and stable fps generation.

I really want to try out Ray Tracing, but having it sett to DLSS and other settings just makes my game look blurry or pixelated. I’ll stick to the normal Max graphics…don’t like losing FPS either…

Well, the thing is i checked my graphic settings and they don’t seem to be off at all from what they used to be, especially in more impactful stuff

I don’t think RTR works on AMD cards. ^ This is max RT settings.

What settings did you use?
Is it literally just max settings? i have everything maxed out and my game dont look anything like that lmao

mostly high and low-/medium ray tracing. the scenery carries a bit
edit: also ac carrier textures remade by me so its a bit nicer looking than the normal one

It looks good. Very good. But I switched it off for obvious reasons.

sucks too cause i have hardware acceleration for it too

Does ps5 pro have ray tracing is it good and smooth anyone know?

Not being able to see any of the instrument dials with Raytracing on is a bit of bummer.

I have enabled RTX and for me in VR I don’t think I can make our a difference.

The other thing I notice is that, GJ is make very nice graphics, but playing at full graphic setting with all maxed out, bushes obstruct my view, shadows gives distractions and heat blur distorts the aiming. As much as I like to get into as-real-as-it gets, getting distracted by a shadow is the millisecond I miss the opponent tank.

MM should make all graphical settings identical in order to have all players with the same chances

And i hope gaijin adds it to AMD because despite what people say AMD do actually have RT cores for raytracing
