Rank IX - It’s time for Stock Chaff

Stock chaff is just a mus. In Rank 8, my F16 ADF is completly stock, and for 1 hour, i got shot down by ARH missels, ecouse i only had flares! Com on gajin,

Y’all just gotta start pinging the devs and moderators. Force them to verbally say no or to acknowledge it. And of course there is one way to make them implement change… We’ve done it before…

You can notch without climbing or decending but you must be pretty much accuratelly on ~90 degress to enemy plane. Like its not so hard with modern RWR but I like more multipathing. Its allow you to fire back. Person just need to be careful to not crash into ground.

So IOG isn’t a thing?

You can fire back, notching is also not a dice roll unlike mp.
Some vehicles even let you fire back within the notch (Su-30SM2)

Depends on distance. At greater distances, even small deviations in flight are enough to prevent the missile from hitting.

Its never dice roll. Just need to fly very very low and it is almost guaranteed that the missile will miss. In the simulator, this is a ubiquitous tactic to the point that ARHs have a very low mortality rate.

That will only work if the enemy is also flying low.
Top-down launches negate that.

That’s because most people fly low from what I’ve seen in sim.
Still won’t stop the top-down missile from impacting.

This is also assuming you’re able to stay at the ideal multipath altitude with good terrain for it while avoiding the trees

my goodness!

But then you can’t do high-altitude BVR, and multipathing is sometimes hard in mountain terrain… it even worse when there is cloud cover over the entire ground or it is too dark.

A top-down attack increases the probability of hitting but does not completely negate the multipathing. I have had many cases, both as the attacking side and the defensive side, where the missile simply did not hit with large height differences.

As for terrain, yes. Mountainous terrain can be problematic. However, most maps have enough flat areas to maintain low altitude. The rest is about training.

Will this post be locked after the live update comes out?

you can do everything correctly when multipathing and the missile will still hit you. That’s what makes it RNG
however notching is always effective when done correctly

There is a reason as to why the best players rarely rely on multipath.

This is also ignoring the fact that you’re almost always at a disadvantage when multipathing vs someone at alt

I will ask to move it to the main/permanent forum if possible.

Maps with more caves, tunnels, deep creeks and natural rock pillars to dodge missile and force to dogfight?

I think the lack of missiles limited the bvr ability, chaffs are more important within 15km

Those who voted “No” gonna get no chaff for life.

bro who voted No on this?

I don’t think that’s punishment at all. If they voted no, they probably don’t need them and don’t use them anymore same as I don’t use them. xD

But I voted yes but still I dont plan use them because I need flares more. If the Soviets got S-8P/PM on their planes, then I would start using them.

gaijin might use them as an excuse to say “Majority of the playerbase voted no” then we don’t get the chaff for stock.
