R-73 (40G) vs. AIM-9X (50G) – Where's the 60G fix for R-73?

Statcard overload is meaningless, and often is wrong.

Even in files it’s 40g.

wont it help after the missile runs out of fuel ?

Doubtful, since the missile has to be going fast to pull high G, if it had to pull high G then it would have just used TVC and destroyed its speed.

Aero missiles like 9M331 or AMRAAM do hit the limit, TVC doesn’t since they don’t build speed when maneuvering.

I’d be more surprised if maneuvering actually builds speed lol

if u fire at a target from high alt (far away) then it would be very helpful.

Possibly, but the R-73 is already impossible to dodge on farther shots, an extra 20g would not do anything.

It would help with longer range shots where the target comes towards you

No dual plane is 70gs

Lol, lmao even.

too high

Dont judge it by how Gaijin models it nor judge it by the same standards of something like the Aim-9L. It should have double its current range and should be all-aspect which is pretty impressive from a 1970s missiles. Whilst it may not have that much in the way of flare resistance. How Gaijin models heat sigs probably also doesnt help much either

Though yes, isnt top tier

MICA EM is also TVC

MICA EM is not IR missile thats why i didnt include it.

Thats also the reason why i didnt mentioned in the first place, also many missiles are gimped for god knows what reason.

Yep

.

all IR missiles are lacking in lock range.
