Proposal for Indirect fire feature for Self-Propelled Artillery

I guess some spgs may be able to load like 1 charge maybe the range can start to fall within WT tank maps.

If not it would be very funny to kill all airfield AA and then rush with plane to bully CAS.

how could this be added for WW2 stuff? you spawn a “grasshopper” and have it be the drone?
Since WW2 arty does see lower velocities

Its not like Gaijin haven’t compromised on realism to fit gameplay in the past. Look at Brimstone missiles.

I say add it. Give us a good reason to use all these SPH’s that we keep being given.

For WW2, enemies get marked when they are scouted or shot at. If there were a map “hit” marker That could give a good indicator of where to fire and adjust aim.

Is also a good way to introduce Scout and Bazooka Charlie. As WW2 Drones for US planes.
But each nation gets its own.

Something like this would be nice too.

Would actually give a purpose to SPG’s other than being terrible tank destroyers.

You can already do that with the drone on large maps—kind of like in the original post—so I don’t see the point.

maybe there should be a plot table system but the bulk of the work should be on you. Sort of like in some FPS games where you get mortars and set there distances but there basically useless because you need to know the distance to target. Then you get that one player come in with a ruler to the E-Sports match and rulers get banned because plot tables work.

Rather than making the maps larger, it could also be noted that many Howitzer systems can reduce the charge in their rounds to give them slower Muzzle Velocities which could cut down the minimum range. This could either be done by adding the ability to change the charge of the round before a match or before spawn, or by gaijin simply adding let’s say 67% and 33% charge variants of HE rounds for Howitzer systems that you can cycle between with the system already present in game.

There are also super charges so you could get a 110% or 125% with extra reload time or the real life issue of your gun life span. There are also rocket shells we not have in game because of there sacrifices are not worth it though it could be funny.

One thing that I’m surprised it hasn’t been added to the gun scopes is an barrel angle gauge. Something that shows the player what the actual angular elevation or declination of the gun compared to where it’s mounting zero is so it can be used in place of the distance marks or in tandem with them in a gun optic.
