I’m so excited, Gaijin…you have no idea! about this addition to the game! But seriously “The Duke”? Come on! The vehicle isn’t British nor is it related to royalty in any way. There’s still time to change the name of the pack. It could be something like “Ghost Rider”, which sounds way better for a stealth helicopter and would probably have much more commercial impact$$$. There’s even a song called “Ghost Riders in the Sky” that basically predicted this moment!
Or at the very least, consider “Thunderbird”, a legendary creature from Native American cultures — it would fit perfectly with the decal. You could save “The Duke” for a future British-themed pack or something like that…
Don’t forget new shiny SPAA’s they gonna add this patch . It will die even quicker. Hellfire is the worst missile to deal with spaa with only 8km of range, 1 minute flight time to target and still being laser guided.
Is the word “duke” exclusive to the British?
Short answer: no, but we all know it has a strong connection due to the monarchy, which remains to this day. There are other countries, yes…but we’re talking about an American vehicle, and in terms of culture, Thunderbird or War Chief are by far better. Personally, though, I prefer “Ghost Rider”.

“The Duke” title was bestowed onto the RAH-66 in honor of John Wayne who was also know as “The Duke”
RAH-66 was primary reason why I started playing US year or so ago. I thought one day it would be a great opportunity for GJ to introduce AGM-114L and bring trully unique machine to the game.
But it is always false hope that GJ will introduce well researched, implemented and balanced vehicle. Only due to trandemous effort of the community Commanche might have some of its true potential.
So does the IR signature go into the negatives now?
Stinger (still worse than igla lmao) is unable to lock normal helicopters past 1.5km already… Can’t even imagine how horrible this will be to fight with them.

Where did the armor go? There’s no more armor at all aside from the pilot seats.
I hope it’s simply temporary, and the Devs are changing some values before re-adding the armor-values for the fuselage?

Not only that, but the stealth is useless, i’m 7km out and still get locked and murdered by all AA

One of the biggest disappointments for me has to be the RAH-66 Comanche cockpit. £50 premium and it has a cockpit placeholder, and not even a decent one.
Best part is that the gunner cockpit looks more finished than the pilot one.
It’s literally the pilot cockpit but low res, the gunner cockpit shouldn’t have the keyboard. The least they could have done was use the current gunners cockpit and made the MFD’s work.
Plus all of the other issues like the missing Stingers, missing IRCM and countermeasures just to name a few. Honestly I’m actually regretting buying it. I love the Comanche but the way it’s been depicted in-game is inexcusable.
