It’s sad that is isn’t stabilised, at least it should have the apfsds ( wich is the standard round) to make it more different than the DF105.
There was also a 20 mm apfsds ( 100 mm of pen ) round for the coaxial 20mm lol but with all these mods we are looking at a 9.0 vehicle :)
Gaijin missed on this vehicle, it should have been a rank 6 pack both for France and Germany but it’s just my opinion.
PS: on the FL 20 commercial, there is a mantion that the gunner has access to a laser range Finder…

FL 20 brochure also mentions turret stabilization and APFSDS, these two features are still being reviewed ( if added or not ) by the dev team. We’ll have to wait for the Dev Stream to know more.

Yeah that’s a pretty good point. I can’t imagine a slightly different DF105 would be very attractive. But if you give it a stabiliser, darts and all that cool stuff, then suddenly you have a very attractive and competitive 9.7 ish tank :)

I was expecting it to be a “landmine” light tank like the JaPz.K A2. This way it will have enough character while not being overly ranked. APFSDS would have been the main feature that distinguished the FL-20 turret from the FL-15 turret. If it was just a df-105 analog, this really wouldn’t be attractive.
I understand why it doesn’t have thermals or stabilization as those seem to only be options in the brochure. It is sad to see it without APFSDS or a lrf right now though. I also hope ammunition for the 20mm (along with other French 20mms) is reconsidered as the HVAP can perform quite poorly and France has their own domestic options for 20mm sabot with the OPT SOC rounds (which are even mentioned in the brochure for the FL-20 turret with HVAP nowhere to be found in it).
