Pre-order: Hawk 209

Why would they do that?

The Hawk is added because it’s where the Indonesian techtree is, but Indonesia doesn’t operate the J-10CE. The J-10CE (and J-10 in general) is only operated by China and Pakistan. Both of those nations are placed together, so no other nation would get a J-10.

Indonesia was considering to buy J-10B, but right now it seems they are renegotiating F-15ID (F-15EX) instead. With Indonesia it’s very hard to tell what they are buying until it’s paid, signing a contract doesn’t mean anything just yet (see Mirage 2000 or Su-35).
So it’s too soon to assume such vehicles will be added when Indonesia might never have them.

Not at all, the AIM-9P-4 sucks. You can outroll it in a headon even in planes like the yak 38

you absolutely cannot

Yes it is possible and it has happened to me
2km frontal aspect launch on a Yak-38 and he easily sparrow rolled it

Mach 2+ with flares/chaffs aircrafts AND all-aspect missile 20G+ = 11.0 bare minimum

the Mirage 3S have 4 missiles total.
the F-5E swiss would get a similar loadout than F5T SCU or F-5E

even @Schindibee who asked for it agrees on that BR bump:

and i was moderating his own view of the BR Bump.

You can cry again,… but this is just normal to have a BR Bump when you switch from only REAR-Aspect to ALL-Aspect IR Missiles

as exemple of another AIM-9P4 carrier, but non Mach2 (not even Mach1)-> AlphaJet TH is already 10.7 BR
i fragged a lot in it:

so you seems to be wrong about what the BR should be (or you’re asking for it to be OP on purpose and knowingly)

and how will it differ from the already existing F2 at 13.7 with the same FM, same Radar and the same loadouts

Maybe, but so does the Buc S2B at 10.3 though or the A-10A also at 10.3 with a much better payload as well.

I just can’t see any reason why they aren’t at 10.3./ 10.7 respectively. Especially with only Bs

The Hawk 209 is not a “copy paste”, its a different variant. Its different from the Hawk 200 and RDA prototypes. This is a unique variant of the aircraft that Britain did not use, but made for export for nations such as Indonesia (which is part of the Japanese tree).

Its this fairing bulge on the 200 RDA thats not present on the 209.

It directly interferes with the gunpod

This would explain why there are no photos of the RDA with a gunpod. As we already said, we welcome evidence of the RDA with a gunpod / guns for consideration.

I feel like if thats the case the UK should get a export model too even if its a premium

At the current standing the brst hawk wont be in the UK TT after years of anticipation for it to come

There is plenty of other export models that could be added

will it get an Adour 951 (29kN) or an Adour 871 (26kN) as engine?

The Hawk 209 has its own disadvantages from the standard Hawk 200 which has two internal cannons and AIM-9L. So its not exactly what you claim.

With that said, we have mentioned previously, there is always the possibility of more Hawks in the future perhaps.

I feel like “in the future” is a fake claim at this point as if we look the R class that was added a year ago this update and no counterpart has been added to the UK

I feel a export hawk could be added to the UK this update as a counterpart similarly to how the mosquitos were added to 2 nations recently

As we already mentioned, other more unique ships were of a higher priority to add to the British tree over the Revenge class, with Britain already having one of the larger selection of unique BBs in game already. It still remains possible that a Revenge class may appear in the future, but its not an immediate priority.

Britain had two of its own Hawk variants added first last major, with other content already planned to come this major.

But how much dev work would it take to add a export hawk to the UK tree?

The model is done, a skin needs to be made but the base work it there for it and then its a few lines of edited code that already exists

I’m afraid its a little more complex than just that. Content for major updates is planned quite far in advance. There are existing plans already set for this major, which is hot on the heels of a previous major in which Britain already just received two Hawk 200 variants. There are also other factors to consider such as the current number of premiums Britain has or has had in an area of the tree, verses for example Japan.

More often than not, there can also be other differences to consider even between minor variants. Weaponry, cosmetic differences, avionics, systems etc etc. Its rarely as simply as expected being “just make a new skin and its done”. There is more to consider than just that.

With that said, if there is a wide demand for something, the its best to make a feedback topic when the update becomes available for testing when we are collecting feedback on it. We will naturally be looking at that time for feedback and suggestions on the update, and considerations for future updates.

Is there any perticular reason why the RDA must be the prototype version, and not just the production variant with that bulge removed to eliminate this issue?

Seems like the devs want to be able to add a gunpod but are dying on this hill of it needing to be the Hawk 200 RDA Prototype

Does the Hawk 132 have access to gun pods? If so then it’d be a good option (it would be no matter what but you get the point)

Because then it would not be the Hawk 200 RDA British prototype. But an export variant from another nation. Which would not go in the research tree. There is no British production variant.

There are no plans to change the RDA into something it was not. Thats why its tabbed in a folder with the standard Hawk 200.

start copium hawk 120 in future 🥀
