Pre-order: GBT 155: Frankenstein’s HE Slinger

I hope it isn’t premium or event, let it be squadron at least, if not regular.

Well thats the neat thing about premiums.

Great new model

Problems: First it’s a pack vehicle so winter and summer sales are nerfed, again… Second: 40€!? This must be made specially for CC to buy, make a video, glaze gaijin and never play it again right?

Centurion 32pdr ?
Centurion Vickers Revalorisation ?
Centurion mk.13 ?
Scorpion ARV ?
Fv 201 P1 ?
Chieftain mk.11 ? (set mk.10 back to 9.0)
Chieftain mk.6(l) as premium 8.3/8.7 to replace the forgotten Vijayanta (not apprecied)
Jagd Chieftain ?

Vicker MBT mk.3M or mk.4 Valiant 105/120mm gun program)

In retrospect, this was definitely not worth anyone’s time to complain over…

the AS90

now that we know were getting the as90 for tech tree, this thing as a premium is a massive nothing burger. All controversy would have been avoided by having the AS90 devblog appear before the trailer (its still not appeared)

I wanna know why the as-90 doesn’t have its longer barrel

British service AS-90s only had the L/39 barrel

In what way? It’s still an autoloading HE slinger with premium benefits, so there is an audience I’m sure.

I agree, although I really never had any doubts that the AS-90 would be coming, even if I had to wait until the next major. With Gaijin, patience is a virtue, after all.

the more requested SPH is available to all for free. while an obscure one is a replacement for the AVRE pack that was removed a year or so ago.

its also the worst hull the GBT turret can go on, it was also on chieftain and challenger, we can see those in the future in the TT also.

yea it was a matter of when rather than if. however the when is always too long

Seems like the only argument is that one is well known while the other is obscure and one has less mobility. Realistically they will probably have the same reload rate, and as I mentioned the premium benefits on the GBT 155 should make up for any downsides of the Vickers hull.

I guess I still have a bit of hopium left in me to spare then…

@Smin1080p_WT Is there any confirmation that the Vickers SP155 (GBT155) is getting the same reloading rate as the AS90 yet?
3 shells in 10 secs then 10 sec reloads after.

Neither have had their reloading rates changed to reflect real figures and there isnt long left for dev server.

I too am interested in buying the GBT 155, but the current arguably horrific RoF for its BR simply puts me off.

Its RoF is more in line with 6.3 SPGs like M109 over the autoloaded 7.0 region SPGs.

I dont feel comfortable buying it in the current state and simply “hoping” it gets a fast

I am so sick and tired of having to face fast loading SPH around 6.7-7.0. It’s entirely unbalanced and all autoloading SPH should go up to 8.7-9.0 at minimum, where armour isn’t that big a deal anymore anyway, but HE would still be very dominant regardless because of how broken overpressure is.

Thats just outright unreasonable lmfao, if they have have a LRF and full stabilised turret then it might work out, but generally speaking gaijin balance based on effectiveness.

You might not like facing them, but overall they are not that effective on that BR tbf, I dont really have issues fighting against them and make heavy use of Ratels and the like which are extremely vulnerable to those things.

8.0, sure, 9.0 is just lol, lmao even to me.

Also overpressure isnt really “broken” imo.

Though back to topic, so long as those other SPGs are where they are, the GBT 155 should be balanced against those, currently, it simply isnt.

AS90 in UK service only had the L/39 barrel

AS90 Braveheart was a project for an L/52 barrel, but it never entered production

Braveheart’s turret was later used in the Frankenstein of the AHS Krab (K9 Hull, AS90 Braveheart turret, French gun iirc)
