But in lieu of expanding BRs and decompressing or reworking the system, Gaijin will instead do mental gymnastics, leave entire modes to die (naval, especially coastal vessels), and straight-up lie to their community in the bug report forums to avoid doing either.
I wish they were more consistent with their logic. Its why they get accused and slandered all the time.
I do strongly doubt they would be able to give a consistent response that doesn’t contradict itself when explaining armament choices between the Iriaf, yak-141, the old mig29s, f-14D, premium Su27s etc… (the only non contradictory response they have is “it’s for balance”)
But balance really wouldn’t be a problem here, it could easily be moved up or down based on its weaponry.
Which is why they are getting booed so bad, because it just feels off, it feels biased and ill-intented.
The only ones that agree with them on this specific instance are plants, or people with ulterior motives, or just total trolls.
No, these are just people who don’t care about missle’s and enjoy the plane. Therefore, it is obvious that it does not matter to us what it flies with, even with 1 gun, we will still enjoy it. We like the plane itself, not its weapons.
The guy who brags about his statistics doesn’t care what armament his plane carries, yeahhhhhhh

Almost everyone agrees with this but apparently Gaijin devs can’t understand / won’t listen to this feedback.
We need to get more people to vote for this. Spread it throughout the entire community. This laziness from the devs cannot be tolerated anymore, and we should keep pressuring them for a tech tree F-14D.
It’s not laziness but pure ignorance and greed by the devs. But yes this should be spread more.

The devs only do what they are ordered to do.
Its either develop what the marketing team or whoever else wants or work somewhere else.

The devs and the moderation team are not the ones who should get the backlash for descissions that were propably made internally by the marketing team or someone else.
I know its not a big deal but the devs do not deserve being draged through the mud like that.
That would kinda make the F 14 D less special and more complicated to balance overallnif the F 14 B were to get the 54 C+.
I think a correct implementation of the normal C variant would be more than enough for now.
The F 14 D can be 13.3 that way, while the B stays at 13.0.
If the B still underperforms while the D does not, then it would make sense to give it the C+

Yes this is true, but it’s not like they cant say something, they absolutely can say “ hey, marketing team, maybe this isn’t the best route to take in the long run, we could make a tech tree F14D” or even “maybe we should make the F14D and put it’s actual armament on the aircraft so we keep a realistic game”
They are allowed to have a rebuttal and yes I think the F14B was capable of carrying the 54c+ even though I don’t think it had the software to.
54C+ was dedicated for the 14D, it was never equipped on the 14B nor is it capable of using it. Part of this goes back earlier in the thread when there was talk about the 14D being outfitted with software to use the Aim-120, part of that is probably because the seeker on the 54C+ also used components used in the Aim-120 which required the modifications to the FCS.
Additionally the pylons are a bit different as well since the 54C+ is internally cooled while previous models required external cooling from the pylons.
Navair also states that the 54C+ was only for the 14D.
