Everyone saying it shouldn’t be added with aim-120’s is crazy. It was tested, It worked. The Russian TT literally has a plane that was never operational in the game (Yak-141). They also have the KH-38 MT missile that was only tested and was never operational in the game. It’s okay to do it to Russian vehicles but no other nation?..quit using that argument.

I do want to buy it, even pre order it to get the black camo. But not with it currently being destined to be Su-30 food (again, I have the premium RU Su-30). The F-14D (and one or two of the tech tree Tomcats) need AIM-9M’s and AIM-54C+'s/AIM-120A’s to be viable even at their current BR’s. Add those and I’ll pre order it today.

I agree. And I have (almost all) the RU planes that can carry the KH-38’s, and the Yak-141. Bend the “rules”, so be it. Bend the “rules” for the Tomcats too. Only fair.

Pls just give the F14D AIM 54 C+/AIM 7P/AIM 9M and move it to 13.3 or 13.7. The D was expected to be the non plus ultra of the F 14 family, not a slightly better Version of the existing F 14 B !
I always thought that we would get a Premium F 14 which would be capable of firing AIM 120.
But dayum, geting an F 14D, without any special weaponry AS AN EXPENSIVE Premium is kinda weirdly bad.

It’s not “please” , it’s it has wrong equipment. There was no original 54C in 1991/92 . They were upgraded with kits twice… one in 86 and another in 88. 86C+ and from 88 everything was under the variant 54C ECCM /Sealed. In my book different guidance/seeker/warhead/electronics…it’s different missile.
Same with 7M. They were upgraded to at least MH starting from 87. Navy had Ps as well.
With GJ it’s like you are buying a car facelift edition with new engine better HP and electronics inside…and you open the hood and you see the old engine just because the bay is more or less the same and compatible with the older model because they wanted to make the old model upgradable , too…

Well it is still their game they are developing.
They would have to, if they had a rule for that.
But Loadouts were always kinda balancing oriented.

both of the other F 14 varants still have outdated AAM for their Date of introduvtion until this very day.
They should though imo.
Make this thing special and give us an upgraded version of the current premium version as a tech tree alternative.
Idc if there is a premium F 14 D or F 14 A slinging AIM 120 at 13.3 or 13.0.
I just want a Super Tomcat that brings something new to the table :(

Yeah. I’ve already advised my friends who play against both this and the current turkish sale, given the F-104 ASA is an overtiered mess and the T-129 ATAK is missing its IR missiles and in a terrible spot in the current meta…
The problem is that they carried those variants. 14D didn’t. Those variants didn’t even existed for it. Especially about 54s and 7s.
I didn’t even talk about 9Ls , because ok, they could have in stocks at that time so yes it is backwards compatible from M…
The others didn’t exist. 7s and 54s were upgraded. Imagine at that point most planes were introducing 120A. Whatever M they had they sold it or offering it on sales or was already upgraded. And especially 54s which were only for 14s were all upraded, 14D never saw the original C or even C+. By its time it was only 54C ECCM sealed. Very different thing than GJ did with the other planes, if anything yak 141 shouldn’t even be in the game.
MiG 29s problem was that it couldn’t have 27ERs because of the radar…later versions could, but not the older ones.
It’s not that they couldn’t carry R-60s.
They supposed to balance AIM-7F/M with the 27ER, but it was because back there they got wrong the 27R , which now is ok and pretty much equivalent if not better in some points. But even when they fixed 27R they didn’t took 27Er back and they didn’t gave R-73 because it would be OP (meanwhile R-27ER is more OP… especially at those BRs) .
Ok is their game… they can make it garbage, and i can NOT buy and inform people that what they sell is wrong as configuration. Whoever wants can still buy ofc, but people that want some originality and uniqueness especially on a premium and that plane could offer that i feel like i should tell them the plane is NOT correct in armament (not telling lies here) and even it’s FM is wrong (should be faster at least) and even 54 missiles are not well implemented in general , when they AZZPULL things like F90 with little to none valid and legit data behind the implementation…
I don’t do anything wrong. GJ makes things crap when they can fix them, you know…
