LOL so you completely kill Naval AB with the absolute wreck of an update and now you want $80 ships to save the mode?
Gaijin devs have lost their minds.
“shut up im keeping my money”
80 euros…
The major issue is that players will buy those, like they bought those insanely expensive premiums…
Gaijin, it’s time to rework your price, even 20euros a vehicle is very expensive you know, I think you can rework price like this, and still earn money :
Rank I : 5 euro
Rank II : 10 euros
Rank III : 15 euros
Rank IV : 20 euros
Rank V : 25 euros
Rank VI : 30 euros
Rank VII : 35 euros
Rank VIII : 40 euros
You fix naval AB, and you expect me to support $80 ships?
I like that naval AB’s fixed, not enough to support $80 ships.
I get they’re more expensive to make than aircraft and tanks… but come on.
Whats even more insane with naval is the fact that a 3.7 coastal premium costs 24x more than 3.7 bluewater premium that is also probably stronger and will probably face each other
HMS Whitby = 6090GE with 1x twin 4.5inch
HMS Verdun = 250GE with 2x twin 4inch
Being one of the few naval players, I find this extremely disappointing. Not only is it expensive, but you’re basically putting a Sharnhorst on steroids behind a paywall.
If it was 7.99 dollars then maybe, but 80 dollars for a vehicle of the lowest played mode that is more compressed than 12.0 air rb with maps designed by ai, yeah no
Another time my premiums became useless. Had Helena/Eugen/Belfast/Mikuma all made obsolete by the premium BBs,bought these, now cant grind with them anymore again. I wont buy these anymore, too expensive, naval got killed with the latest updates like the compartment hp where two means you are dead, or magazines exploding not detonating ships anymore. People barely die in naval now and they just rather farm bots than each other. I aint touching it anymore
This bit isn’t true - my games tend to have more players now than they used to - often 1/2 - 3/4’s are players at all BR’s - used to be most game would be about 1/3rd.
This bit is fine :)
Asking a price of an AAA game just to get that is honestly funny.
horrible update bruh for naval
How do we save a mode that has died due to the broken OP Scharnhorst driving players out in droves? premium Scharnhorst! that’s going to be GREAT for naval! what clown comes up with these ideas?
When the German tree originally came out in CBT the cruiser Emden then followed by the Königsberg class & later Leipzig class had the prefix KMS, it only when the Nürnberg had the dev blog did people call out the prefix & they were dropped across the TT.
Another prefix is IJN & to lesser extent JDS, IJN is not a prefix & has been mentioned for years yet unlike the germans it has never been removed with the only exception to this are the torpedo boat Chidori & the kaibōkan Shōnan which both don’t have the prefix strangely, so they devs could definitely remove the ahistorical prefix.
Now JDS is real but it’s only applied to destroyers like Ayanami, Yūgure, Murasame, Harukaze byt not the smaller destroyer escorts. (rather strange how it’s all backwards)
Daft thing is there’s also a classification error between the two ships as by the Germans the Scharnhorst class were battleships (something the devs have never changed) & from some reading the Project 69 were intended as heavy cruisers.
Edit, Actually this is wrong for I’ve been mislead by information, that usually a cannon over 6.5" makes a ship a heavy cruiser yet since the USSR didn’t sign that treaty the Project 26 are classed a light cruisers which is reflected in game meanwhile the Project 69 is a battlecruiser still, now if only the mobile version of this poxy site allowed strikethrought text as this is the worst site I’ve used, worse than the old forum for it’s such a bloody let down.
Welp that’s what happens when the first thing you do waking up is check the news & type incorrect crap in effort to make a comparison.
Hmm, I honestly might consider purchasing these as lineup filler & the price is ehh… Well it’s expected afterall from viewing other modes premium tanks & aircraft (80 bucks is around $125.00 here (AUD)), but they better have insane SL/RP modifiers for the cost like triple the modifiers seen on the current most sold destroyer types in game.
Although it might be time to increase the added premium time & golden eagles while remaining at the same price, as 30 days should maybe be 60 days & GE maybe 6000 GE (heh like the CBT destroyers although those were 2000 GE with an added bonus 5000 GE for the time was a bargain for $75.95).
Still the idea of selling the current most powerful armour scheme vessel in game is comical (Scharnhorst class Battleship), like those that now how to use it will be devastating as is the Scharnhorst is now. While the Gneisenau is a beautiful ship, I would wish they would go back an add the Scharnhorst class Armoured Cruisers Scharnhorst & Gneisenau (maybe even a Maximilian von Spee decal?).
Meanwhile the Project 69I Sevastopol will probably have the same weaknesses as the current Kronshtadt which floods & burns easily if the forward magazines go up.
Hmm now comes a big thing, hopefully the battke rating are finally increased for these ships definitely cannot be at 7.0 still with the likely logic of the tree expansion up to at least 8.7 BR.
With seperate aviation BR’s a thing now, it should be doable and tbh some jet aircraft can be usable including some jet bombers as afterall HAA & LAA batteries are insane in game especially if a player controls them.
None of the naval treaties use the term Heavy Cruiser" or “Light Cruiser” at all - so whether anyone signed a treaty or not is irrelevant to using the terms.
The Washington Treaty defined a capital ship as anything over 10,000 tons or with guns larger than 8" (203mm).
The London treaty set different limits for ships with guns over 6.1" (155mmm) and 6.1" and smaller - but never called them heavy or light cruisers - that became unofficial parlance afterwards, and eventually adopted as the norm.
Welp, I’ve clearly read/watch something wrong, I backtrack my claim, but the prefixes are still an issue.
The 6.5" part me clearly screwing up the London naval treaty withits 6.1" armament.
On the requirements to understand better since what I remember is incorrect, what wiuld be a good starting point website, book or video watch on this subject?
The wiki articles are pretty good - lots of references including to the original texts :)
I’ve been told the community managers are always collecting feedback to send to the developers. Despite every significant feedback every single 60, 70, and $80 premium pack devblog being filled with comments saying Gaijin is charging too much, the price never changes . So…what do we think is happening? Devs don’t care or community managers aren’t doing what they said they are? I guess it could be both?
Like we don’t even get a post explaining anything either. No “we have heard your feedback and wanted to take a moment to explain why the price has remained or here’s what we intend to do with it.” If you aren’t going to drop the price, then at least drop the “two updates and older” aspect of major sales.
doesn’t mean the dev’s and marketing people have to follow the feedback.
