Everything until rank 6 is a copy paste from the USSR (or its an American lend lease vehicle) nobody plays china to play a ZSU 57 2 with another name. If they were just skins for the soviet counterparts nobody would have noticed or been against it (other than the Chinese playerbase but if everything isn’t china #1 they wont ever be happy) and the modern Chinese kit (its still just variants of T72 or russian jets mostly) would slide into the USSR tree and mean you don’t have whole lineups that say “T72, T72 of another year, another modification of a T72, prototype on a T72” or “T80U, T80UM2, T80UD, T80UK, T80UE1” have some bloody name and tank diversity damn its just boring as hell it could have been a T80, T90, T72 and a ZTZ and a Wu Zhuang as one lineup.
Its like how not many people would have batted an eye at Israel staying as an American subtree, most of their stuff is British or American with a french and soviet slipped in too. Gets rid of a nation that doesn’t truly start until the mid tiers, reduces clone tanks and adds needed diversity to a tree that wouldn’t be there any other way
Absolutely not. Poor Gaijin implementation of China does not mean it should have been a sub tree. There are dozens of vehicles that Gaijin could add that would even warrant a 5th line, especially at higher tiers.
There are many modernizations of tanks like Type 63 or Type 62 (for example, one with APFSDS and 105mm gun), plus modern vehicles like ZTQ15 that have yet to be added.
would like to see the type 15 as its actually kind of unique. looks a bit like that light tank the indians revealed recently. Would provide a different way of play to all the T series tank modifications and clones

This only shows how little you know about those vehicles. WZ305 was one the few interesting vehicles in the whole TT on arrival beacause it’s ZSU-57-2 that’s actually good at dealing with aircraft.
I do think that chinese TT should have started from rank 4 or 5. Though especially towards top tier it becomes much more interesting and in the future will be more interesting than the UK for example.
