Iv just had this experience with the 13.0.gripen.
Only just unlocked the 9ms but feel.like im negative 50 kills or something and they are not going to make it any easier.
I dont even have a horse in the race as a few runs was all i needed to know its a way worse flanker and it can stay unlocked on tree for good.
But still, these change threads never come to any good.
The blame lies with gajin … they dont play the game and it shows so even “improvements” - see recent harrier buff ends up somehow worse than ever.
If the choice is Leave the jet or forum idea = leave jet every time as it can and will be worse after gajin do their thing.
It’s not about pleasing MiG-29 players, it’s about making the MiG-29 as realistic and balanced as possible.
This mentality of “it needs to benefit me” ruins the game for everyone.
Working around plane’s weaknesses is fun, because without a challenge there is no satisfaction from succeeding.
However, it’s only fun if the weaknesses of the plane are true to real life. No one wants to work around weaknesses made up by some Gaijin employee, people want to face the reality, not someone’s personal vision.

It has less range than the 7F/7M but is overall better, mainly because IOG+DL, tracks much better in all aspect and is harder to notch because you can’t do it at last second like with the sparrows.
It also turns tighter and can somewhat be used in HOBS

I like the 27r more than the 7f because it reaches it peak speed in like 6.5 seconds while the 7f takes like 15 seconds to reach its max speed. In close range shots which is most shots you take anyways 27r is gonna be better. Plus you can’t out roll it

Its essencially the best 12.7 jet for long range engagements, the radar works absolutely fine on hard locks at long range and you also have TWS
The datalink on the 27er is very useful for that and I often get the first kill of the match at very long ranges, often its the F-14s that ram into it because the missile is flying blind for most of the way since I unlock my radar and switch to TWS to re-lock quickly when the time comes, this way they only get a warning when its already too late.

The wyvern can kill an entire enemy team twice over… If they let you that is.
The F-18 is very slow to make proper use of the aim-120s, It will get constantly pushed out by faster jets. A rafale with 2 micas would mop the floor against the F-18 with a full loadout
