They both claim to be the true successor to Kievan Rus. Same thing happening with China and Taiwan on who is the true successor to old China.
What’s the point of making 6th line in tech tree to add some shitty T-64/T-80 modifications? Waste of space and time. If you want ukraine in the game, go to russia and put ukrainian flag on their tanks lol.
That, honestly, isn’t compelling enough of a reason for me to change my mind. Kievan Rus, from what little I understand, is from the medieval ages, a timeframe far longer then the ROC and PRC, which happened ‘only’ a few decades ago. I don’t see the Kievan Rus being a valid justification for Ukraine to become a Russian sub tree inspite of current events.
Because they have come up with a few heavy modifications and prototypes that make them worthy of being at least a subtree, and because of current events, a Ukrainian sub tree in Russia would be ill advised. Moreover, it isn’t as though the proposed subtree doesn’t make use of extensively modified T series tanks as it is, so writing them off for it is a bit hypocritical.
Ukraine wouldn’t be a “Russian” subtree, it’s technically already apart of the tree with a lot of the vehicles produced in Kharkiv already in the tree. It’ll be nice once Gaijin starts to finally add the Modern ones to the tree to fix issues the current one already has.
Were those vehicles produced before or after Ukrainian independence? I’m refering to vehicles produced afterwords, not those while under Russian occupation. Moreover, Russia doesn’t need any sub trees to fill gaps, it has plenty domestic options to do that, it’s already arguably the most complete tree as it is.
That’s your opinion and none of that matters. If it happens or not is anyone’s guess.
I would not forgive myself for removing such a large low-tier of Poland and Czechoslovakia
Like i undestand that you enjoy certain era of vehicles, but removing pretty much 80% of whole TT due to that is pretty dumb
POLAND! RAAAAHHHH!!!
Let’s go!
Me personally I would love to see Polish tech tree but to become a dumping ground for Eastern Europe Such a Slovenia Czech Republic Serbia Ukraine and others
Polish, czech republic, slovakia im fine together
Slovenia, croatia and serbia should be yugoslavia tech tree
ukraine should be put in soviet union(hot take, but it was part of soviet union after all)
Yeah if that happens a lot of people will be angry. Just check the discourse for the yugo tech tree
yugo tech tree makes sense at least
former yugo countries should be a tt
Poland can be a TT or maybe be sub tree in germany
Czechoslovakia in russia/germany/poland
ukraine to soviet union
Gaijin hasn’t changed the name of the original nations yet. The “USSR” tree is definitely the Russian tree. They also haven’t changed the name of GB to United Kingdom, Japan’s flag, or Germany’s flag but China and Italy have there modern flag. The rest of them use there already slated flags.
I think Poland having Czechia, Slovakia, and Ukraine is acceptable. Ukraine’s military uses the PT-91, the Rosomak-M1, the T-72M1R, Leopard 2A4, Osa-AKM-P1 “Żądło”, the ZSU-23-4MP Biała (I believe), the AHS Krab, etc. They’ve also co-developed projects like the PT-17, and some Polish equipment even uses Ukrainian gear like the WPB Anders LT equipped with Ukraine’s Zaslin Hard-kill APS. The Zaslin also possibly could have been incorporated with the Rosomak-M1. There’s other developments too. Not to mention, there’s also the Czech T-72EA. I don’t need to explain Czechia and Slovakia for Poland, it can be seen well with the V4 (which also includes Hungary). Ukraine can also help enhance the Aircraft line with its Su-27S1M or MiG-29UM1/2.
As for Poland receiving Yugoslavia, that makes absolutely zero sense. Yugoslavia can support itself. The Balkan’s aren’t “Eastern Europe”.
Russia and Iran makes somewhat sense. I mean look at the Karrar. Other vehicles feature Russian/Soviet origins with some older western equipment tweaked for Russian or indigenous weapons.
Finally someone with common sense. If the leak is true, which I severely doubt, then Gaijin has angered quite a few people with grouping so many nations into 1 subtree
You probably don’t know the history, how the USSR pacified the Czech Republic, how they wanted to free themselves, and the Czechs remember it very well and hate Russia, the only sensible idea is, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and maybe this Ukraine
Russia and Iran makes somewhat sense. I mean look at the Karrar. Other vehicles feature Russian/Soviet origins with some older western equipment tweaked for Russian or indigenous weapons.
I can see where you are going with that since Iran does share a lot of military tech with the USSR/Russia and vice versa to a lesser extent, especially after 1979 however i would like to add that the relationship between Iran and Russia is complicated to say the least. On the one hand they do support a lot of the same [broad] common geopolitical interest especially in regards to the West, i.e be against EU & especially U.S Hegemony, on the other hand there is a few thing that Iran and Russia oppose primarily because it would benefit Russia at the expense of Iran; As examples Iran supports the Tripoli government in Libya alongside Turkey which are normally enemies while Russia support the Military Junta in Tobruk alongside France which again are otherwise staunch rivals. A similar pattern can be seen in the Southern Caucasus and in Sudan. This doesn’t disclose the fact that Iran has just as strong relationship even in weapon procurement/development as China which both are competition for favours and Russia has a bad habit of “both sidesing” things.
I don’t really have complaints to what you said in terms of the rest of the post prior though
I do know about the 1968 invasion of czechoslovakia
Point is, there is czechoslovak vehicles in soviet tech tree
I said it could also go to poland
My point is, ukraine was part of the USSR. Kazakhstan was also put into USSR. Ukrainian stuff is heavily soviet influcenced.
Czechoslovakia im fine if it goes to poland or ussr
Agreed
Yugoslavia can be it’s own tree
