It’s just too quiet now. Unless I raise my system volume which will make all other apps unbearably loud, the game is just too quiet.

Yeah ignore this I forgot I do this because of my headphones. Maybe your headphones have a volume setting? There also might be 3rd party programs to boost your volume.
I can increase system volume but that makes all other apps louder too
Then what you do is turn down the other apps in the volume mixer. I know this may be inconvenient but it is the only way I know

I don’t understand why they do this either. This was a problem a couple years back - then they got it fixed. Now they brought it back. I had and now again have a similar problem where instead I need to boost my overall system sound to get it back to previous levels (have not found a program to boost single sources yet), since it’s already at 100%. Of course this means that any notification or alarm is also increased, which in some cases leads to unpleasent suprises.
