Planned Battle Rating Changes (October 2026) — Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Decompression

Oh in this situation. Both SU30 pre sould be 14.0

Vehicle: SU-30 MKK/AMV premiums (RU & CN tree)

Mode: Air Realistic

Change: 13.3 → 14.0

Reason: These vehicles are blatantly overpowered for 13.3 in their current state and were arguably a 14.0 plane before we knew we were getting BR 15.0, with this decompression they should not be able to see any vehicle below BR 13.0, even then a significant amount of 13.0 cant really deal with the RVV/R77 from such a platform. 14.0 would be fair to everyone

I’ve played with all variants of the F-16s and everyone of them are best that F-2A airframe, F-2A is heavier than F-16

When did I say it was bad?

I never said its AESA radar was bad, I just said is wasted on the F-2A ADTW; a plane which BVR is complicated with the AIM-7M (lacks IOG and top speed) it can lose target and cannot recover its guidence if you do not track back fast enough and in some cases AIM-7M even if you recover track of the target it doesn’t recover its guidence and explodes in mid air.

The missile still underperforms; AIM-7M is good in F/A-18A at 12.3 but at 13.0+ it is pretty useless

Also in speed and features like IOG, max G overload and reliability.

Practically any other plane at 13.0 with FOX-3 like F-16 XL, AV-8B+, Tornado F.3 Late, Mirage 4000, F-4F are better in the BVR department.

I’ve killed F-2A ADTW pilots with AV-8B+ using VTOL

I won’t dogfight F-2A ADTW in a Tornado or with the F-4 but I can stress him and make him nervous with the FOX-3 to make him commit a mistake and I can keep notching position when needed 'cause I know that if he wants to kill me he must have me locked onto his radar the whole time and F-2A ADTW cannot perform notch position while it hopes to hit the target with AIM-7M and it cannot do the thing like with the 27ER or 7P that tracking and un-tracking the target gradually to avoid the enemy’s RWR be warning him of incoming missile

The golden eagle doesn’t belong at top tier

The BRs of CAS aircraft in Ground Battles have been increased excessively. While SPAA vehicles typically only receive a BR increase of 0.3, CAS aircraft have seen increases of 0.7. The Buccaneer S.2B, in particular, has received an enormous BR increase of 1.0, going from 10.7 to 11.7. To make matters worse, it now shares the same BR as the J-22, which is clearly a far superior aircraft.

Gaijin, please revert or at least tone down these anti-CAS BR changes.

It’s currently the best performing 14.3 by far. I think its fine at top tier, the missiles are very good

Vehicle: IAR81C(DB605)
Gamemode: AIR Arcade Battle
BR Change: 3.0 —> 4.0
Reason:
It’s 2026, and it’s hard to imagine that a fighter could dominate Air Arcade Battles the way the FW 190 A-4 has since it was added to the game at the end of 2014. I heard from a friend that this vehicle was strong, but I really didn’t expect it to be this strong: powerful overall maneuverability, an excellent power-to-weight ratio, extremely good climb performance, and ample firepower—combined with an absurdly low battle rating, it steamrolls all the outdated old aircraft from above. It’s completely cut from the same mold: all you have to do is climb straight in, and on any engagement map you’ll have a 1,000 or even 1,500 m altitude advantage before the fight even starts. This moment is exactly like that moment—completely unreasonable.

Are you talking about the IAR 81C (DB605)? If so, its battle rating is still too low. The last vehicle with such a dominant performance in Air Arcade Battles was the FW 190 A-4 when it was added to the game at the end of 2014—Gaijin balanced it in one go, raising it directly from 3.3 to 4.3.

F-16CM 13.7 → 14.0

There is no ways the amraam F-16As are equivalent to this thing, given it’s thrust (which is really important for BVR). Also, the radar. Give it AIM-120-C5s if needed, but 13.7 is an insult to anyone who owns a non-US F-16.

We already got that multiple times.

Reminder that until August 2023, the Leopard I was at 7.3 lol. The localised decompression at 6.7 - 7.7 in turn compressed 8.0 and above, and now with the BR ceiling being raised, this is finally being rectified.

6.7 - 7.7 doesn’t really need more compression than they have now, 6.7 already gets what are basically the easiest full uptiers in the entire game.

Yep. T25 at 6.3 is fine. Asking for it to be 5.7 is a funny joke. This is one of a handful of mid tier American tanks that are constantly claimed to be overtiered because it’s become “the thing to say” when in fact they’re doing just fine.

Honestly i hope next BR changes focus on 1.0-8.3 by expanding that to become 1.0-9.0 as rank 2-3 is pretty compressed with valentines facing a KV-2

I can understand M26 moving to 6.3 as its by far the worst pershing but the T20 and T25 are uniquely strong for the BR, while not feeling particularly special by any means whatsoever

Yep, the area between say 2.0 and 3.7 is horrifically compressed.

Ideally the strongest 6.7s should become 7.0s to give some breathing room to 5.7s. But do it too early and you risk undoing some of the decompression progress achieved in this round, so I would leave 5.7 - 7.7 untouched until this round of BR changes has had a chance to settle, so that more things can move up/down in unison the following round if needed.

As for the T20, I think it’s straight up busted at 6.3, while the T25 is fine but not a monster.

everything below the IS2, tiger 2 and american 6.7 heavies has a horrid time, especially now IS2 and Tiger 2 (early turret) are 6.3. but they do fare decently in full uptiers to be honest.

low tier needs some major work with the 20mms being a sealclubbers wet dream as well as general unbalance with T-34s and so on, WT has a poor player retention for a reason and the extreme powercreep from only small BR increases is a major reason for it

Vehicle: Leopard 2A6, Leopard 2A6NL, Leopard 2A6 (Sweden)
Gamemode: Ground Arcade and Realistic
BR Change: 13.0 → 12.7
Reason: The performance between Leopard 2A5s and 2A6s is extremely minimal with the only difference being the gun and round performance. The extra 20mm+ penetration should not be a reason the Leopard 2A6s have a step up over the 2A5s given the tanks are otherwise near identical to their 2A5 counterparts.

Meanwhile the Leopard 2HEL, 2A7V, 2A7HU and Strv 122s are significant step ups over the 2A6 that the difference of 0.3 seems too little.

what hell is this gaijin?

I guess the EMBT inherited the French bias

reasonable…hm…surprising

Nah, this one I disagree with completely. Panzer IVs are trash and they teach newer players terrible habits (i.e. passivity). The earlier ones at least have the benefit of good mobility, even if the targeting speed still makes them worse than Shermans and T-34s. But the H and J have bad mobility as well as bad protection. They basically play like TDs, which is fine, but in the current map rotation environment a Sherman or a T-34 will always be much more meta.

Especially for the J it makes zero sense to compare it to the Firefly, the true Allied analogue of the J is the M10, on which the J’s main advantage is that it is fully enclosed.

Honestly I enjoyed spading this little fella recently, I found it very fun lol. I’m not sure what it would be like for a starting player though, so maybe warranted.

Agreed.

I would say 5.0 first and see how it does. If it still struggles then one can consider either 4.7 or 5.0 with APDS.

The three horsemen of absolutely nuking new players. It is astonishing to me that they haven’t moved up. In fact when you consider how many vehicles around them have moved up over the last 3-4 years, the net effect is that these vehicles have moved down, a Sherman 105 and a StuH now need to be in a full uptier to see a T-34 for example. Crazy.

Another one that’s taking forever. Like the KV-1B. Few things more annoying than obvious BR changes that are 10 whole years in the making.

I would have seconded it before the nerf, but now the mobility gain is smaller than the armour tradeoff, tbh, so I’d leave it where it is (esp. if other vehicles around it go down a bit).

Italy early ranks is an incredible victim of low tier compression.

See what I meant earlier btw, this is at a lower BR than the Panzer IV J lmao.

Look at marketplace price and you’ll have your answer.

Should have never even received the new damage model. Crazy decision. I landed a shot on its nose with the 75mm APHE of the Panther F and only got “hit”, what more is a ground player on first spawn supposed to do to defend against this strike aircraft (i.e. not bomber)?
