Vehicle: AMX A-1A Gamemode: Air Realistic & Air Sim BR Change: 11.0 ----> 10.7 Reason: The AMX A-1A is identical in nearly every single respect to the tech-tree version the AMX, except it has the MAA-1 Piranha Air-to-air missiles. These are notably different to the Aim-9Ls that the standard AMX carries but comparable in overall performance and I don*t believe to justify any reason for the AMX A-1A to be any higher at this time.
All Ground Attack aircraft are underperforming notably with Air Realistic at the moment, especially sub-sonic airframes that routinely encounter super-sonic ground attack aircraft. Such a higher BR guarantees that they will encounter aircraft such as the F-4S which routinely clear any and all bases long before the AMX can arrive.
The only gamemode that the AMX A-1A performs “well” in is Air Simulator, but even within this gamemode it is notably underpowered and would be better suited at 10.7 alongside similar airframes such as the AMX and Buccaneer S2B. Whilst the MAA-1’s are little stronger with Air Sim due to their short burn time, making them harder to see, the lack of radar limits the AMX A-1A’s ability to ID targets at longer ranges.
The AMX and AMX A-1A are not strong dogfighters, with aircraft like the Sea Harrier FRS1e at 10.7 much more capable under most conditions and its hard to justify even 10.7 for the airframes if not for the on-going compression
With the introduction of the Hawk 200, located at 10.7 with 4x Aim-9Ls, the overall justification for 11.0 has only become much weaker
Vehicle: MiG-25PD Gamemode: Air Realistic BR Change: 11.0 → 11.3
Reason: enough, stop letting them sealclubbing flareless planes on max downtiers with R-40TD it’s annoying every single time (also why is MiG-23M getting downtier to 10.7 as well)
Vehicle: JA37C
Gamemode: GRB
Suggested BR: 11.0 → 10.7
Reason: Compared to the F-4J/S sitting at 10.7, it has less missiles, worse missiles, worse RWR, no HMD, and it can only carry A2G ordnance if you sacrifice some of the missiles. The only advantage it has over them is the all aspect PD radar.
Reasoning: These corvettes have high a Battle Rating. As a result, Destroyers at the same BR outperform them in every single aspect, leaving them no chance to survive after spawning at the large fleet spawn points.
Vehicle: Re.2005 serie 0
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR change: 6.3 → 5.7
What does this plane have at 6.3? Good turn radius, good ammo count, bad climbrate, bad turn rate, slow speed and compresses earlier than most planes that it can face. If this had the single best turn radius and turn rate at the br it is at we could say this plane has something to reliably work with, however at 6.0 the Spitfire LF Mk.IX has better turn radius and massively better power to weight ratio, also at 6.0 we have the Zeros that have much better turn radius and every other turn fighter will outclass the serie 0 in p/w meaning your only real chance to win a fight is to hope they do not climb optimally and do not go in any kind of sustained fight. Because of the compression, low top speed and lowish rip speed, the Re.2005 serie 0 will also not be able to exploit the rare occasions it has an energy advantage meaning that it has no real chance to engage other planes with better p/w and/or higher top speed. The only turnfighter that will lose to a Serie 0 is the Ta152 H, but has an airspawn and it’s 0.3 br lower (but the Ta152 will not compress that badly and has better rip speed and MER meaning it will be able to easily dive away).
To simply put it: the Serie 0 has no right to be at 6.3.
At 5.7 the Re.2005 serie 0 would still be one of the slowest and worse climbing fighters, but the gap between it and other fighters won’t be as big as at 6.3. If you still think the plane would be too strong at 5.7, I’d like to invite you to fly with the Spitfire Mk.IX: that plane as a remarkably similar flight model to the Re.2005 at 4.7 (with this br changes). I don’t see how the Re.2005 being 5.7 could break the game if the (virtually) identical plane doesn’t do that one whole br step below.
Vehicle: Challenger 3TD Gamemode: Ground Realistic BR Change: 12.3 —> 12.0 Reason: The Challenger 3TD is an incredibly weak tank, which trades a better round for way worse survivability and reload rate compared to the base the CR2s now at 12.0. There is no good reason for them to be any higher in the current state, and so should be dropped to be the same BR.
Alternative solution: Increase the fire rate of the Challenger 3TD to a 5 second reload, making its firepower a direct upgrade
Vehicle : MIG-25PD
Mode: Air Realistic
BR Change: 11.0 → 11.7
Reason: Too powerful when barely anything up to 11.0 has a chance to even get close to it nor catch up to it, creating a potential game stalling situation (especially late game). Did I mention it can see flareless 10.0 too?
Vehicle: Z 52 Game Mode: Naval Realistic BR Change: 5.0 → 4.7 Reason: The lack of the Base Fuse HE other german DD’s have on their main guns makes it far less competitive than many of the US DD’s at 5.0 and 4.7, especially with some of them going from 5.3 to 5.0 again.
