Planned Battle Rating Changes (January 2026)

With the FGR2 and FG1 being essentially identical, I dont really see the point in doing that. Giving one the better missile and the other a slightly lower BR creates a meaningful difference between them and as such different gameplay and a reason to have both.

Though the FGR2 could also be given 9Ls and moved up instead

Kind of a weird change IMO.
WZ1001 is basically the same vehicle as the 99A, would probably be better to just folder them, unless we are getting the 99B soon™ which would then be in that folder.

VT-4 I assume will get stock APFSDS now that I have almost spaded it…

Vehicle: Sovetsky Soyuz

Gamemode: Naval Arcade & Naval Realistic

BR Change: 8.7 —> 9.0 (9.3 would be better)

Reason: The Soyuz is without a doubt, the strongest ship in the game and the only ship that realistically stands a chance is the Iowa at 8.7. All other ships are DOA in a 1v1 against a Soyuz. It is completely unreasonable for 7.7 ships to be facing the Soyuz and Ideally, most 8.0s wouldn’t either. Even 8.3s would benefit greatly if they didn’t have to face the Soyuz but that level of decompression is currently not possible

F-15As facing Mig29s, F-16A variants, and then all the way down to mig23MLs lmao. Its a joke or mockery at this point

Vehicle: Javelin F.(A.W) Mk.9
Gamemode: Air Realistic & Air Sim
BR Change: ARB: 8.3 → 8.0 ASB: 8.7 → 8.0
Reason: The Javelin is easily one of, if not maybe the weakest aircraft at its respective BRs. It is slower than most, turns worse than most and its weapon systems are hard to use. After its recent nerfs in Firebirds update, it has only gotten worse and really needs to be moved down in Battle Rating. In an uptier of any kind, you are a free kill. Especially with the introduction of the Hunter F58 at 9.3, which you are matched against often. Your only hope to do anything in the Javelin is a full downtier, and even then, every match is a struggle. 8.0 May not actually be low enough for this aircraft to be competitive, but it is as low as it can realistically go.

Alright then

MIG29 12.7 → 12.3

Reason : missing r73 and remove r27er

Mode: Air Realistic Battles

Aircraft: F6F-5N, F6F-5N (France)

Change: 4.3 → 4.0

Reasoning: While equipped with two 20 mm cannons, the F6F-5N retains the same powerplant as the standard F6F-5 (BR 3.3). The additional weight of the cannons and the drag from the radar pod result in worse flight performance and energy retention.

Vehicle: Harrier GR.3
Gamemode: Ground Realistic
BR Change: 9.7 ----> 9.3
Reason: The Harrier Gr3 is rather lacking in terms of performance when it comes to CAS and Britain has very little in the way of 9.7 line-up for ground. The Harrier Gr3 is weaker than the Buccaneer S2 already at 9.3 for CAS but would provide a stronger option for a CAP Fighter, which is a little lacking at that BR, with the only meaningful option the Hunter F1 on the TT or Hunter FGA9 if you have the premium.

With the Tornado WTD61, Tornado MFG and Tornado A200 only 0.3 BR above as well, with notably better performance in every single respect, the need to lower the Harrier GR.3 is only increased further.

The Harrier Gr3 could also receive a Phimat pod for increased survivability

Vehicle: Harrier GR.1

Gamemode: Ground Realistic

BR Change: 9.7 ----> 9.3

Reason: The Harrier Gr1 is rather lacking in terms of performance when it comes to CAS and Britain has very little in the way of 9.7 line-up for ground. The Harrier Gr1 is weaker than the Buccaneer S2 already at 9.3 for CAS but would provide a stronger option for a CAP Fighter, which is a little lacking at that BR, with the only meaningful option the Hunter F1 on the TT or Hunter FGA9 if you have the premium. Additionally, the Harrier Gr.1 has no CMs and is unable to defend against any of the IR threats at this BR

With the Tornado WTD61, Tornado MFG and Tornado A200 only 0.3 BR above as well, with notably better performance in every single respect, the need to lower the Harrier GR.3 is only increased further.

Vehicle: Type 90/90 (B)/ 90 (B) Fuji
Gamemode: Ground Realistic
BR Change: 11.7 —> 12.0
Reason: it’s nearly identical vehicles to TKX(P) and should be on the same BR, as they hav no business being a step lower in BR

Vehicle: J-7E
Mode: Air Realistic Battles
BR change: 11.3 → 11.0

Reason: While being better than the J7D in certain aspects (Flightmodel, RWR), it also has a worse gun and a worse missile selection. I don’t think it has to be two BR steps above the J7D fighting Mig23MLs.

Additionally: It is currently just a weak helicopter with 8 IR AGMs with limited effectiveness, missing top attack trajectory which can be fixed with increasing just a SINGLE value (loftTargetOmegaMax), an ABSURDLY small amount of flares (48) and no method of self defense. And no LDIRCM.
It should get its external PARS launchers, the maximum flares it can take (144) and it should get a self defense missile like LFK-NG otherwise it is DEAD.

I’m sorry, why the hell is the slow ass cheiftan without a 5.0s reload, which for no conceivable reason it doesn’t get, and no gunners thermals going to 9.3? And then the cheiftan 900 with a tin can for applique is going with it??

Suggestion:
Mode: Ground Realistic
Vehicle: Falcon
Current BR: 8.3
New BR: 7.7

Background: Currently the Falcon’s BR is propped by the exceptionally good APDS belts that allow it to damage heavily armoured vehicles. Now, with the removal of those belts, it does not make sense for a radarless SPAA to remain at a higher or same BR as Radar AA, which are more effective in the anti-air role, and predominantly have APDS also.

Reason for 7.7: The lowest Radar SPAA is the ZSU-37-2, “Yenisei” - the Falcon should go to that BR as it will objectively perform worse against aircraft with standoff weaponry, and now loses its secondary role of anti-tank.

If this proves ineffective, or the Falcon is still powerful, the BR can be adjusted further.
