Have you tried doing that in an actual battle? Yes, it can, but the spread and ballistics of the APBC shell are so bad that you are not landing any barrel shots at medium range (and in CQC you are asking to get killed).
You are just conveniently ignoring the fact that the APFSDS of the 2S38 can not only destroy barrels and breeches but can also lol-pen any vehicle frontally and disable and kill crew, unlike the Begleit, which has to flank and hope it’s not seen first before engaging anyone.
