No, Shvaks are much better than they used to be, and are overperforming compared to IRL. The Yak-3 should be 4.7, and the Yak-3e is a 4.7 plane at 4.0 because it one less MG.
You know they can both be OP right? Plus killing a P-59 is much, much easier than killing a BI.
you dont know how EM charts work for the BI to get that rate the engine needs to be burning at full throttle the whole time
and that is not how the BI works it is a roket propelled glider
the EM chart is made at max throttle

One has less Hp im pretty sure, and yes 1 less mg, with overall I’m pretty sure less ammo. I’ll have to check.
whats the combat throttle you would use for it ? You can change that and make a graph like that

If it was 1.5 id say he would be constantly above average. So you skewed the results by not listing whether you were using lifetime or average.
I recently started grinding soviet planes and shvaks are pretty decent. Granted am fighting 5.7 props and not jets but still a short burst should get the enemy if ur using tracer rounds

i know that you can do that but from what i have seen you dont use those planes like that,
you throttle up for a short time and then use the energy, if you get too slow you throttle up again
there isnt really a single throttle position you would use in a fight
I was about to say lol, anytime I max throttle, or go over 482 mph, the controls lock out and if I can’t decelerate enough I explode into the ground
Why particularly tracer?
It technically is if we are skill going on about x vehicle is OP or under BR’d. So if hes an average pilot then his opinion can be swayed because hes less experienced than dedicated air mains which does add to the topic.
This would be the equivalent of someone saying the KV-220 is bad and should be 5.0 when their stats are only meh in said vehicle.
My own experience and others experiences. Even if Shvaks weren’t as good the Yak-3, 3e, 3U, and VK-107 models are all undertiered.

I find it to be a sidegrade. You either get better performance for dogfights or just not compressing. But are great imo but I am a la5fn abuser since you fight lower level enemies :)
I am pretty sure they buffed the shvaks tho
