+1 AGS need m900
AGS need m900(11.7GBR)
Thats the key part, they couldnt.
Ground RB:
Yak-9K
4.7 → 5.3
Currently the theoretical/ahistorical APHE makes this plane a nuisance and hard to balance. Either raise it to higher BR where it might face tougher armor or remove the ahistorical APHE ammunition.
You could also show what a head on approach looks like, top down is almost always going to give someone the upperhand but this is the same gun on level ground. The Churchill is fine at 4.7 the NA75 is the one that should go down imo
Your post is retro actively misleading people into thinking one of the best 4.7 heavies is bad, yes its mobility is terrible and the rounds it has aren’t much to talk about but in a downtier its a bully. Its a compression problem that it must fight panthers and tigers.
The gun that you mention being on the KV-1S might i remind you is also found at 3.7 and 4.0 with only 94mm pen, the Zis-5 isn’t really a special gun by any means.
M44 (USA, Germany, UK, Japan, Italy, France)
GRB
4.0 → 4.7
It is a artillery piece that can very effectively oneshot most vehicles it faces. This combined with its extremely good mobility, both hull traverse speed, acceleration and top speed both forwards and reverse. It is a vehicle with the mobility of a light tank, with the firepower of vehicles typically much slower (KV-2, SU-152, 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl, Spj fm/43-44 etc.).
This is exacerbated by the vehicles it is fighting. While it is fighting vehicles that is quite well armoured, that doesn’t really matter, because the HE shells it has, can just overpressure the vehicles through the weaker roof armour. And these heavily armoured vehicles at this BR, are very slow, meaning they don’t really have any time to react to the M44 coming around a corner and oneshotting them.
While it doesn’t have armour itself, and can itself be overpressured easliy, that requires that FIRST, you are able to get your gun on target in time, and SECONDLY, you have HE loaded if you want to try to overpressure it, or you have to take out the gunner in a direct shot, because its thin armour doesn’t fuse APHE shots.
Yes, you’re right. But my egoism wants me to disagree. Did you ever faced another Su-25T or Su-25TM that was playing exclusively in air-to-air engagements? Honestly most of the times I was destroyed not by my own mistake by flying too low or ripping my wings off was by some other plane’s missiles. Cannons: never.
Me playing my Su-25T lol or my Mig-27’s (just check KD’s)
I’ll say its insanely rare like not many people are stupid enough to do it lmao.
Nearly lost a turn fight to a Tornado now that would have been embarrassing
There are few vehicles that can take advantage of this weakspot in the Churchill VII with ease at ground level. Churchill VII is the most armored tank at its battle rating, perhaps battle rating range, I think it’s battle rating at the moment is fine. The turret roof, at the moment is the most (or not depending on the cannon you’re using) frontal weakspot if you’re not relying on disabling the vehicle instead.
Now we are in speculation so here goes. They had MiG 29s so they know the Radar they used the R-27 missile so they know how it works and is integrated. They could have made it work, the issues lies with well is it worth it? They made the correct decision to not try to integrate Soviet systems with US systems and there was no benefit to it. Fakour was the prefered BVR missile
Now if they had no way to replicate the Aim-54 and were stuck with the Aim7E there would have been a more concerted effort.
We have watched aircraft all over the world use missiles and weapon systems they were not designed for.
In ASB, you can actually do PvE, so most of the time, they are doing that, though I have seen them get plenty of kills.
Now I do generally avoid the 11.3/11.7 bracket these days because I just find that most of the aircraft I have just arent fun to play agasinst things like the Mig-23MLD.
But I have found myself behind an Su-39/Su-25TM in things like the Tornado F3 (and trying to fly low and slow to stay on an Su-39s tail in the F3 is not fun) or Phantom FGR2 and been forced to try and use guns against it. With the introduction of the Harrier T10 ive played a little more, but again, quite often have to use guns against the Su-39.
Phantom FGR.2 & FG.1
Change: 12.0 → 11.7
Both of them have very similar performance to the Israeli F-4E (Kurnass) carrying 4 AIM-9G and 4 AIM-7E2 equivalents (Skyflash) and while both FG.1 and FGR.2 have better acceleration (That is slightly compensated by the lack of internal gun) and a early pulse doppler radar, being 0.7 Br above their peers is a bit too much, this change should bring the British phantoms closer to being a middle step between the early phantoms with mid range radar missiles and no pulse doppler (F-4E’s) and the late Phantoms with long range missiles, pulse doppler and even some all aspect heat seekers (F-4J/S, F-4EJKai)
Especially when the Tornado F.3 is the same BR and has 9Ls and upgraded Skyflashes
Given we have 2 identical aircraft, would be better to move the FG1 down and buff the FGR2 by giving it either 9Ls or SuperTEMPs
Buddy there is already bug report that explains that R27 wasnt compatible with radar from the beginning.
Even Gaijin knows this but lets IRIAF F14 enjoys those missiles for CQC.
The only thing that you should not do is locking radar on it and every engagement is fine. Myself as example everytime I get locked on the Radar Warning Reciever gets crazy pointing something behind me. Either is me alive or the rocks right below. All flowers and candies until is a Mirage F1 C 200.
Going out of the topic a bit: Let’s be honest the guy are not going to reengage and you is going after someone just trying to grind without bothering about air targets destroyed. What a dirty move. I’ll consider you in Santa’s naughty list.
Implying it couldnt be made to work…Were HARMS designed to work on MiG 29?
Missiles of that time period really aren’t that complicated you change the reciever to one that will talk to the AWG 9 and you have the missiles kinematic performance with the Aim7 seeker that is one work around.
We have an extract from a book that confirms it was possible but was not needed.
First of all, the screenshot of the Chuchill VII you have shown, can nearly be of any cannons shooting at it, because you have not shown what is shooting at the Churchill VII.
Secondly, here it is shown, how sharp of an angle the ZiS-5 with BR-350B (MD-8 fuze) at 500m can shoot through the forehead of the Churchill VII:
It is similar the angle that the T-34 (1940), with the L-11 and BR-350A (MD-5 fuze), can go through, also at 500m.
The only reason i used such a steep angle previously, was because that was the minimum angle that the American 75 needed to go through the Churchill VII, and therefore, i only changed the vehicle (cannon and ammunition) shooting at the Churchill, and not any other parameters.
Thirdly, from what i can see, you haven’t even played the Churchill VII, at least there is not any games shown on your service record in the Chuchill VII. So you have no experience it the vehicle, and that is why you are saying it is one of the best 4.7 heavies? If actually had played it, you would know how useless it is against vehicles at its own BR.
Yeah, the tricky bit there though is that aircraft like the FGR2 and F3 are SARH trucks. That is their job.
Though things like the T10 and Tonka Gr1 dont even have a radar so you can usually get behind them and put a burst of canon fire into them before they even know you are there.
A target is a target. I expect no mercy when im in a ground attacker and so I give none in return.
Ive gotten way too many kills against a low level ground attacker flying at medium altitude that drops flares to defend against an incoming SARH missile in aircraft that have 0 excuses for it. Like the Tonka WTD61, I farm those things in the F3, its hilarious
the biggest problem with this would be the fact that the SuperTEMP(Tornado Embodied Modification Package) wasn’t used on FGR.2 and IMO 9L would be bad because it still won’t address the biggest problem of FGR that is the lack of range to fight against 13.0 (since technically speaking in game 9G and 9L have the same range) while pumping the Br up (EJkai sits at 12.3 instead of 12.0 exactly because it has 9L over the 9H from F-4J/S) even if they decide to keep FGR.2 at 12.0 but with 9L’s we need to see if it would truly improve the plane and give it a better chance to fight.
