that is not how it works

rank and BR are independent from each other

The Begleit can absolutely rip an M60A3 apart from the front with it’s cannon.

It has a meme of a missile that used to catch players off guard the Fakour.
The B now has Aim9L and Aim7M plus Aim-54B and BOL pods

It’s foldered. (based on numbers we can see)
It was played half as much as the F-14A which retains a higher win percentage 51.5%
The IR F-14 is closer in ability to the F-14A yet has the higher BR. 13.0 Is fine but lets improve on what we can and that is missiles (R-73 was tested, swap the woeful Aim9P) really Gaijin a rear aspect IR missile at 13.0.

Comparing that F-14 and the Su-33…

All aspect missiles - check
R-27ER and R-27ET
Better Radar, HMD and a far better RWR.

The vehicle itself is not bad, the radar doesn’t help. It’s so unclear that a slight change in weather or abrupt obstacle can cause the indicator to mislead the missile. Like they throw a pile of dirt in the radar before taking off.

I feel like it’s a joking scam to have such bad vehicle, at such high battle rating. From my experiences with it, I didn’t enjoyed nothing to be fair, yet there are people says it’s good, I can’t agree honestly but I’m not the airplane expert.

Which they could reduce its battle rating since there are a lot of vehicles with better radar performance at much lower battle rating with even better weapons.

Since all ground vehicles at BR 10.3 or higher are Rank VII or VIII, the Merkava 2D must be upgraded to at least Rank VII when moving to 10.3.

I think with the new BR changes adding 13.3 and 14.3 Bracket they should give the F2A TT AAM4B (which is already in the works since it was received by the developers ) and make it 14.0 , while the ADTW would be nice to receive the regular AAM4 and be upped to 13.7 or 13.3 since we will already have AIM-120A at 13.3 on the F16 ADF variants

Did i miss something?

he wants the 27er on the iranian tomcat and tries to justify that by saying the the f-4f has the aim9j which germany didnt operate

I would bin the R-27ER/R and swap them for the 4 R-73s

should go to 9.0

yea thats what im saying you fr got J-7D which has way better missiles and flight performance at 10.7 which you cant even engage in a dogfight with and dont forget all the uptiers to 12.0,11.7 which you are done because of mig-23ml’s and f-4s’s which get way better missiles and flight performance

that wasnt even mounted on the iranian f14 unlike the r27r

It was tested, they made the decision to kit out the MiG 29 with the “Dogfighting” missile

But Ger did operate it. In the old forum this was discussed back and fourth and finally photos appeared, showing German F-4F airframes in the US with Aim-9J mounted. I think this discussion is over.

then you have a picture or a document confirming it, as it seems you are the only one that has those sources, there were and still are quite a few ppl looking for something like that

i was just making clear what he meant and i shouldnt comment on that topic as well because i have no clue besides the surface level stuff

Official Iranian sources? Yeah good luck with that.

There are numerous anecdotes that heavilly suggest the R-73 which we know Iran operated was mounted and tested on an F-14. However in Irans eyes the 14s primary purpose was BVR which is why instead of integrating R-27 (which in Irans eyes had an unsatisfactory range compared with Aim-54) They manufactured the Fakour 90

“The R-73’s reliability and ability to fire at extreme angles, meanwhile, made it by many accounts the most capable short ranged air to air missile of its time. Although they improved the F-14’s versatility, these missiles were not well suited to the Tomcat’s primary mission which was very long range interceptions - something only the American AIM-54 and Russian R-33 and K-100 were well suited to at the time. This led Iran to eventually reverse engineer and extensively improve the AIM-54 domestically, which provided it with a similar looking but [more capable missile named the Fakour 90”
