The thing with this is they are basically the same ship. Same class battleship , just one live longer to get more modification. Given that one will most likely become premium. I don’t think both gonna be in the tech tree
Yeah, and Bretagne and Lorraine are in two different lines in the French tree.
They’re not going to make one of them a premium either. Unlike Wargaming, Gaijin can’t just make up new ships to fill in the gap left by making Bismarck or Tirpitz a premium.
They could if they just fix the damn mode instead of kicking the can down the road. Decompression ,fixing map maybe fix the aiming as well, spawn point and what not. It would be better, cause with the current tech tree. I see no way to cramp Bismarck/Iowa/Yamato in
I don’t disagree, but as Gaijin has proved with air and ground battles, you don’t need to make the mode better if you can just add new things for people to buy. And right now, naval is probably losing them money so long as they’re still dragging their feet in regards to adding ships that everyone knows and wants.
For example, as much as I love dreadnoughts, I’m just kinda tired of them. I’d pay 90 bucks right now for a Richelieu, but I wouldn’t spend a dime on another New Mexico.
Iowa is not close imho. There is still something to add in between.
Also Bismarck / Tirpitz should be probably held back to add whats missing in between. There might be still two WW1 BCs to add and probably the Gneisenau project with 38cm guns.
We even don’t have Colorado class or North Carolina class. If Gaijin wants to add Iowa class , it should placed under them. For German , you guys have Scharnhost overpower in 3or4 years , isn’t enough? And at least Bismark should placed under Scharnhost’s 380mm plan.
Wow man the only thing I asked is, when they inevitably come, where will they be added?
Theres really no sense or reason which line Gaijin puts the dreadnoughts. I remember when Arizona was announced and I suffered through North Dakota because surely Gaijin will place it under the two BB lines the US had?
Nope, she was under some irrelevant cruiser line that i didnt slog through.
Looking at the Japanese tech tree also hits you with its randomness or demonstrating the lack of naval knowledge by the devs. I specifically remember them putting Mutsu after Kongo because ‘the Nagatos are the Evolution of the Kongo class!’
You’d have bigger luck flipping a coin to determine where Iowa or Bismark will end up. So i recommend just grinding as many lines as you can then focus on one of them as theyre released.
Currently, nothing competes with the Scharnhorst with the possible exception of the Mutsu and Amagi.
The U.S. battleships are not very fun to play due to not having their proper drafts, so your magazines and shell rooms will constantly explode, and their reloads mean that you will be firing every 40 seconds at best.
The U.S. destroyers and light cruisers are some of the best in the game and very fun to play though.
Yeah the german as of now have the best BB out of any nation in the game. Even with Rodney being added in the next major update , i expect the situation to be even worse. What we need now is a overhaul of the whole thing not adding more to a pile of problem
Haha, I’m no malicious, dude. But like the other country’s tech-tree, seems like the best way to prepare Iowa and Bismark is research all the top-tier ships. In historic , Nevada actually succeeded by Arizona, but in Gaijin’s tech-tree, they are in the different branch. So the answer is apparently, research all the ships!
I agree, since the armor bug was fixed, American BB survivability was definitely improved. But their mag still can be explosion by the ammo which is higher than water line. And the 40s reloading time cause they are difficult to hit the target’s weakpoint , if the target position is constantly changing.
Maryland is on the reliable-leak-list for this patch (and was expected very soon even without that, as the devs have been steadily adding US battleships in class order).
16" guns are nice, but we will get stuck with 1.5 RPM fire rate on them so it will be another boring U.S. battleship that will get eaten alive.
RPM is an important stat. I remember putting my Graf Spee permanently into the hangar, just cause of its bad ROF. At the beginn I was excited…yay such a huge calibre on a heavy cruiser hull :)
This will surely wreck, or not?
Ofc not. Its counterbalanced by bad precision and very long reload rates. Any light cruiser with 15cm tripple turrets applies much more damage. You can just pepper the target constantly and shells land where you aim. While gameplay with big guns looks like shot…no hit…waaaaaiiiiiit fooor reeeload…miss gain. Just terribad.
My bad, i thought you were attacking me because I asked for something unrealistic, I’m sorry. I’m an Air Player so I really have no idea how far away we are from the Iowa haha, is it as unrealistic as the F-22 getting added next patch lol
They accepted but didn’t implement the report I made on the 14” guns. The sources I used cover the 16”/45 also so I intend to make one for the Colorados when one comes to game. With much more powerful ships coming to game I hope it will be enough to get them to actually do something about it.
Good luck. I’m convinced that, after the debacle with the Dunkerque shells, you could literally resurrect the designer, the captain, and the entire crew and Gaijin wouldn’t accept them as reliable sources.
We’re more likely to see Iowa next patch than the F-22. But that’s like saying we’re more likely to see the F-22 in two patches instead of next patch.
By the end of the year or first patch of the year after, for sure.
There’s a very good chance it stays in “passed as a suggestion” hell forever, but at least they didn’t go back with the “not a bug” within a day of accepting it like they did to the poor French. I still have hope/cope
