B-Scope is the square radar option
Sector PPI is the semi-circle one
(both PPI and B-Scope provide the information as if in a top down view. C-Scope is the view of the radars PoV, available in some MFDs, but kinda a shame, not available in third person)

That might still be a type of B-Scope actually. But I think it does have a C-Scope too.
the top part of the screen shows elevation and distance, which I assume is the C-scope
A10C even has that in hmd, friendlies are marked while you are using free look
I think its showing from a side view (Which might be E-Scope?), and not a C-Scope which is basically direct from the aircraft

Though I don’t think this is the most ideal method of fixing the issue of friend and foe I do agree there is a issue especially people trying to pull the “spy”. I have a feeling Gaijin will come up with something for air once infantry sim is done so both are similar. But the idea of sim has always been a way of seeing if people can recognize aircraft and using logic in short order. Though there is technology to direct friendly aircraft around like chess pieces AWAC’s and ground command toward enemies you still need to tell them apart. Even today friendly fire does happen especially if its two countries working together IFF is not fool proof. EW also can mess with IFF broadcasts and broadcasting IFF is a electronic emission so you would turn it off. Maybe Gaijin will develop a more complex IFF system when we get stealth and people who keep there IFF on can be located with the correct equipment but that’s for another day.
All F-16Cs for the US have scorpion
Belgian F-16AM got it as well, but when testing it out, it’s still lacking some IFF features. :(
