Yes the Pantsir is broken. You have to kiss the ground to even have a chance to survive, and that’s not even bringing up its range. In some maps you can’t even get away from your airfield before getting shot it.

Yeah, i’ve seen a lot of US players seemingly expecting Patriot to be playable and i’m just assuming they don’t know how nuts that would be.
ADATS definitely is no longer good enough, But Patriot would be legitimate no fly zone.
Broken in terms of how vastly superior it is compared to everything else in the game, yes. Am i kidding you with that fact? no.

Think it’s just a ground target we don’t actually get to use, it’s just a reference to the current war in Ukraine for some reason.
and the fact that the S1 made only by papers and not real combat its just funny
(S1 cant track normally small/slow fliyng things)
From what I understand it was show cased for the SU-34 cause of the audio released a few months ago.
The only way i could see it coming to warthunder is as a static defense for airfields but that would still be insane given the patriot has a range of 160km.
They would have to nerf the range by a very large amount if it did come as static defense.

I wouldn’t be opposed to it as a base defence if they majorly, artificially limited it’s range. The Rolands are useless.
Something like 20km in Sim would be nice. Give the Zombers something to think about. (Though…we could have had Pantsirs do that for a while already)

Well since they are also adding the first stealth aircraft to the game, It wouldn’t be insane if they added it in certain ways. It would definitely be later on in the game though when more stealth aircraft were added for both sides.
Now it is time to join this SAM .The plane will become superior ,from kh25 to kh38.VT1 ADATS It’s no longer useful .Infact su34 and other 4 gen jets it can take cover this SAM
Yeah of course, so would like all battery based AA systems. Pantsir is a TELAR, and a very mobility oriented one at that, meant to function isolated if it can. There are multiple other TELAR systems you can compare to, and if we’re talking about TEL systems like Patriot we need to account for S-300s (SA-10) and the such.
Would be absolutely great in SIM or in the big EC maps. Also, would be great for community/custom events/battles

Most people play their SPAA as stationary SAM site anyway, so i guess not much would change lol.

It doesnt even have to be the 160 km range missile. The MIM-104A/B has a range of at worst 60 km and at best 105 km, depending on what source you consult. Designation Systems net puts it at 70 km. This would stack up fairly well with something like S-300PS with the 5V55R missile, which has a range of about 70-75 km.
Do you realize how small the maps are in WT?
I said that because if these systems were to be added, they should be added with those missiles to achieve relative parity between the two systems. I never said i wanted these systems to be added.

Eventually C-RAM will have to be added though because there are so many munitions that can either stand off very well or can just be launched form behind cover that shooting down the plane becomes secondary to shooting down the munitions.
