Panavia Tornado (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

I’m not sure if the Gr.1 entered service before the widescale rollout of 9L then I think It would be perfect.

Yeah it would be.

I dont think it necessarily matters

Could do but would need to be foldered with the Gr.1

Hmm… maybe, though the GR1 is going to be stupidly foldered below the F-111

Who knows. Anything beats having a SQD vehicle that’s exactly the same as the TT one…

As far as I understand, a Tornado IDS module is coming to DCS this year. I’m curious how much its flight model will differ from what we currently have in War Thunder.

Personally for the jaguar’s I say add a GR.3A w/ 9Ls at 11.0-11.3 or something akin to Jaguar-IS, and move GR.1A down a notch as is.

Being 9Ls vs Magic II, definetly not 11.3, even with the upgrades the GR3A brings over the IS and I dont think the Jaguar GR3A is on par with the Tornados. But 11.0 would be solid for them with the current levels of compression. But probably should be a little lower compared to some of what it would face at 117/12.0

I don’t really care if it’s competitive or not tbf, I’d just like to see GR.3A and other more niche sub variants of aircraft in general in game, GR.3A would at least allow F2P/Newer players have access to something akin to IS while not having to spend money.

Oh 100%, I really really want the GR3A too, but it should still be at a managable BR to actually play it. Though it would likely still be best suited to ASB using terrain masking tactics

Joke Take: On that day, it might be one of the reasons that I quit playing War Thunder.

Maaaybe, it might needs few extra though.

Well, their Eurofighter module is also coming out this year, if I understood correctly.

Tornado IDS (GB, DE, IT) missing SPICE 1000, and possibly also the 2000

Please, would be so nice to have on the italian tornado… Although i do like where it is rn with maw and gbu-39s at 11.3 in ground… Tough decision.

@Gunjob Small question.

Is there any perticular reason the external fuel tanks on the Tornado single release instead of dropping as a pair?

Thanks in advance

Just how it works, there is a section in the manual for only jettisoning one tank accidently;

But that does mean typically the pilot should jettison both at the same time but could if they wanted for whatever reason do it selectively.

Hmm… interesting, figured it would punch of both by default. Thank you
