It has come to my attention that the Obj 122 should have a weak point where the drivers periscope is but doesn’t since when you try and hit the point the armor still stays angled even though its clearly flat (obviously). Who ever modeled the armor on it either wasn’t paying attention or was straight up being lazy since there are a couple vehicles that has the same weak point but that are actually modeled in i.e. L6/40, P40 (Medium), AB41. So there shouldn’t really be an excuse on why the Obj 122 doesn’t have this weak point modeled in.
This makes no sense, for this weakspot works, the projectile would need to do a complete 90° and another -90° to result in a ‘weakspot penetration’.
The periscope used in the Italian vehicles is inside the tank, not outside when compared to the Object 122 “MC”.
For instance, this Soviet periscope allows the entire thing being installed outside, instead of the Italian one which is fixed completely inside the vehicle.
And I don’t think you’ll have much space nor time to actually use this possible weakspot in the Object 122 “MC”, is just so small.
Well what I’m sayin is that behind the periscope on the Obj 122 is a flat piece of armor, there should be a weak point regardless im just using the Italians as an example seeing as there something closely related, like I gave a reference photo for the Obj 122 from the gave and the fact the front plate is sloped and the top deck armor is covering it, yet on the Italians there’s that one flat spot where the periscope would be I think the Obj 122 should have it too.
Don’t you see you’re comparing two different designs? The Italian one has the periscope completely inside the vehicle, in other hand the Object 122 "MC"s is installed with the mirror outside above the frontal glacis making any weakspot impossible and not above the chassis roof when compared to vehicles like the P40.
Brother you can literally see the indent behind the periscope on the 122, I would have made this post if the periscope was flushed with the plate but it isn’t, perhaps if you look at the Pictures I provided or even idk look for yourself in game you can see a literal indent behind the scope that’s why I’m using the Italians for a reference since they have the same thing.
