If some players weren’t “forced” to use the F-4E while others could choose the F-15, then no one would pick the F-4E.
So this is likely a test, they’re increasing the BR spread to see whether objectively weaker aircraft can still have a role in the game mode, instead of everyone just using the strongest option available. And as for now, it has been the case, because in some matches (and now i don’t talk about my mig23mld matches) that’s luckily (or unluckily) the case. The F-4E still has a role in the F-15 tier.
I’m not sure if I’m explaining it perfectly, but that’s the general idea.
Im barely 7.0 in all TTs and im still havin a BLAST in there, specially on mig-23, I think because a lot of people are also as clueless as me. I still haven’t tried the USA side since today im focused on the USSR star.
I somehow can’t go negative too, idk how but im makin REAL BANK out here.
Tbh, its a pretty fun event. Much better than air RB, as the “ground pounding” is actually meaningful and the SPAA sets some limits early game. Also better than the previous MiG 21 vs Phantom with oil refineries.
Russia should get a "phantom-type’ of multirole fighter tho, as a free option. To level out the playing field.
the one we have is one of the more early versions, at least in tech tree as so they claim, VS the one in nuclear thunder which is a gulf war setup, similarly with the A-7E, the normal tech tree one doesn’t get the AIM-9Ls
Is there any official reason other countries can’t use their aircraft in this gamemode? Just leave the free planes available for nuclear duty but allow people to use their lineup planes.
USSR side should be able to be played with German and Hungarian MiG-29, and Chinese planes. While USA side can feature all the F-series planes other nations have, on top of stuff like Viggen, Jas-39A, Tornado F3/ADV and Mirages.
GW version would have AIM-9M, AIM-7M, various targeting and jamming pods, this is more just post vietnam fit for the F-4 and company with anachronistic AGM-88 time traveling.
