As you can see from the pic i’m using the MiG23MLD that you are given by gaijin, against hordes of 4th gen and still coming out on top. This goes against the narrative that “is impossible to win because of balancing”
Yes the balancing is all over the place, but a little effort and you can do wonders even with the short stick

srry i don’t own any american jet apart from the israelian F-4 and F-15I ;c
all i can say is that american jets are fat and have lots of missiles, try to use SRC (iirc if F-4E has PD) and lock planes at maybe 10km or a little more/less, abuse ur AIM-9Ls cuz at least for me they’re broken asf (they act like AIM-9Ms) and don’t get in dogfights cuz u will certainly lose all of them.

Gaijin should certainly allow players from other nations that own planes from the main nations fighting in this gamemode to play.
things like the german MiG-29G, israelian F-15A (Baz) and even things like F-4EJ Kai and finnish MiG-21bis should be allowed to play.
I just flew towards buk erector vehicle and it fired one missile which just missed. But when I tried to flank it I got shot down because it watched loner videos and tossed telephone pole over hill

Am I the only one who thinks this event sucks? If you don’t have top tier on this selected nations you are forced to play with migs23 and migs29 on us side or f14’s and f18’s on soviet side. Also soviets just gives better planes for people that don’t have them while us side gets a bunch of 10.3 vehicles without a chance of beating anything that goes after 11.7.
Event sucks for non US/Soviet players in particular…
In my experience I still get hit by OSA AKMs and BUKs even when multipathing, it’s really weird because multipath works fine for player’s missiles but not for the AI SAM vehicles in my experience

They should force people to use the default lineups provided, and those ones only.

I was under 60m but that missile did direct hit. The thing is it just killed me without los but when it saw me with radar and fired, its missile just poofed at few km altitude
